AN IMPOTENT husband who encouraged his wife to sleep with other men stabbed her to death when she told him that she was leaving for a lover 30 years her junior.

Christopher Willsher, 53, lost control and attacked his wife, Jeanette, with a kitchen knife, stabbing her 112 times. Willsher was sentenced yesterday to six years imprisonment after a judge at Plymouth Crown Court accepted his plea of guilty to manslaughter on the ground of diminished responsibility.
.....................
Anthony Smith, QC, defending, said that the marriage had been happy until impotence struck. Mr Smith said: “He loved her and was besotted. What he did he did because he wanted to keep his wife.”

"I want to keep my wife so I'm going to stab her 112 times"
Makes sense I guess... If you are completely whacked.
In the US we have hate crimes for certain people.
I guess this act would be called a "Love Crime" to the Liberals; "I love ya honey, I love ya so much I'm gonna kill ya."
Just more proof that the judicial system is just as screwed up over there as it is here.

I'm surprised he kept the knife hard that long.

"I want to keep my wife so I'm going to stab her 112 times"

I guess the press left out the rest of his statement.. "and put her in the freezer to keep for all time."

The sight of blood must have excited him.

I have a little sympathy on this one. Like the guy who finds his wife in bed with someone else.

Six years in prison. Incredible

And, Tony Martin got life (released after 3+ yrs) for killing a burgler in his home and wounding another.

So much stupidity...

AN IMPOTENT husband who encouraged his wife to sleep with other men ...

...so little time Willsher was sentenced yesterday to six years imprisonment.

The wife was equally stupid for following his directions and committing adultery.

Hey...she qualifies for a Darwin award!

He encouraged her to sleep with other men (shades of "Breaking the Waves") then gets all miffy when she does what he asks. Maybe it was the '30 years junior' aspect.

Hrmpt.

Six years isn't enough at all.

Reverse the siduation. If a woman stabbed her husband to death over an affair, it would be considered a "crime of passion." And I can tell you, a hell lot more people
would be "sympathetic" and not think twice about a 6 year sentence.
