I heard they were going to print a three dollar bill and put Chukie's portrait on it.

How is it "character assassination" to point out the simple facts of Gonzales' record, including his zealous and aggressive support of affirmative action. What are you proposing as an alternative? Blind support?

Nominate Janice Brown and then when the Dems cry foul we can accuse them of being racists. Use fire against fire.

Interesting comment from Schumer considering the fact that GWB has not announced his nominee yet. I guess he is anxious to show just how petty and spiteful his party is willing to be.
What if the President nominates Hillary? Will he still be going to "war"?

The only ones that resulted how they predicted were [Antonin] Scalia and [Ruth Bader] Ginsburg. So most of the time they've gotten their picks wrong, and that's what we want to do to them again. Bush's weak point is he stands up for the "picked on"> Well, it's not a weak point - it means Bush is a good man. But it also means manipulative dems can pretend to pick on a person knowing Bush will step in to defend. It's a tool they'll use.

The chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee was overheard on a long cellphone conversation with an unknown political ally, and the DRUDGE REPORT was there! Watch Chuckie go into paranoid mode .. always looking over his shoulder .. LOL!
By the time the train hit New Jersey, Schumer shifted gears and called his friend and Gang of 14 member, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Hey Lindsey .. TAKE A HINT .. The Dems are Playing you for a COMPLETE FOOL

You said,
"Considering part of the reason they made the deal was to gain the Libs good will, if they have one braincell in their head they finally got a clue what these people really think about them" It's amazing, isn't it? The Republicans continue to "curry favor" with their political enemies...they never seem to realize how naive and foolish it makes them look.

So Chuckie will "go to war" over a conservative Supreme Court nominee, but not over radical Islamist terrorist attack where thousands of innocent Americans are killed. Kind of shows you where this guy's priorities are, doesn't it?

Dems are going to fillabuster, even if the gop uses the nuclear option can't the opposition hold up all business by denying unanamious consent.
I am very worried about this pick.
We are four votes short of the 60 votes to break the fillabuster. Nelson is the only democrat who will vote for cloture the rest of them will march lock step with Chuck Schumer.
I blame Frist for bringing up the nuclear option in may we needed that card for now. Once the deal was made it is hard to get the momentum back again and the rino's won't want to break the deal.
Even if we could get Dewine and Graham to break the deal we would be relying on senators like Spector and Hagel to vote for the nuclear option.
To: visagoth
Lindsay Graham being scammed again! Those SC country boys are no match for New York shysters.
