"The guy in the foreground looks like he's just about the right age to have been a veteran in the Great War. "
And maybe, eventually a Vichy French collaborator.

Now there is, and smokers can still smoke outside, where there is plenty of air to take away the smoke. It's more than fair, and I'm glad to see London is going to do this also.Yes that wonderful big city air, filled with every type of poison is so healthy and refreshing.......how about we ban cities so people in the country don't have breath your filthy city air?

Lest you forget that law has been applied state wide. I live upstate, and can finally go out to a club and not come home smelling like a Phillip Morris factory.

Why are people excited about this story? I don't know. I guess the prospect of watching commercials all day in between 2 minutes of some kind of mostly-obscure athletic competition excites some people.
Not that there's anything wrong with that ...
(or maybe it's the beach volleyball?)

If there is so much demand for "non-smoking" establishments, then the market will take care of it. Here in Seattle, we have "non-smoking" restaurants as the owners have chosen to do so.

There is a ton of demand for it, it was being ignored because business owners hate to exclude anyone. It was a public health menace, a disgusting behavior, and it has been banned, deal. The market does not always respond and certainly does not always respond quickly.

Like a drunken persona without any dignity and respect he walks on a fine line of being self absorb and egoistic without any remorse. I was hoping USA city New York City would win this contest, especially what happened to that city 11 September 2001; needless decision was made: I hope you guys be ready for 2012."thank you

Not much beach in London. Beach volleyball will probably be down in Brighton or along the coast somewhere.

Ever wonder what's the matter with the French? You don't have to speak French to READ BETWEEN THE LINES!

It was a public health menace, a disgusting behavior, and it has been banned, deal.Banned but not illegal, you and the political hacks love taxes....when heaped on the other guy. I suggest a tax on junk food and ban on fat people, they offend me...
