Laura Ingraham tells Bush, “No, You tone it down” tonight on her radio show
7-5-2005

Posted on 07/05/2005 9:37:54 PM PDT by Brian_Baldwin

Tone what down, Mr. Bush? Who are you talking to?

To conservatives?

I think he is.

And I think Laura Ingraham, thinks he is, too.

And, proud of God Knows What, he slighted the conservatives who are suppose to sit around and watch their hair turn white as year after year after year after year betrayal, and now having given so much to put the Republicans and the Bush family BACK in power, who believed the oath Bush gave to church leaders, to conservative leaders, in back door meetings, when lots of money exchanged hands, and money from common people hard earned, and who told the common people all over this nation that he will fight to put a conservative on the bench, and now this from Mr. Peepers he tells us to “tone it down”? Laura Ingraham told Bush tonight, no YOU Bush, you tone it down. Don’t hush us. You hush. You listen. The House, The Senate, The White House, years and years in the making, and now it’s all yours, conservatives who ground down for you, and when it is time, you tell us to tone it down? Squander another 20 years?

Oh, I see. Really. Well, maybe you tone it down Mr. President, or perhaps as some are now calling you Mr. Peepers. Or should I be more respectful?

You tone it down when you talk to conservatives about this vital issue, this nomination to the Court. You better listen. If you told us a lie, you are going to really see who can make hell regarding “Bush Lied”, and it won’t be coming from the Left who are going to make you eat your own words.

You come to the conservatives, to the heroes, to the Patriots, willingly this time. That is more than just good advice, it's real good advice. Respect your family? You respect our families, and everything they have done for you. Your friends? Your loyalties? Who has been your friend, and gave you loyalty? You now need to respect our families, our loyalties. But if you will not approach my friends, my conservatives, with affection, of your own free will, you can take your family and your loyalty to your friends (in power) and you can sit and ride a dead horse right to where you are going, Mr. President.

Don’t you tell me about how the illegal aliens “do the work”, the work that Americans “won’t do”. Don’t you tell me what I would do or not do to support my family. How dare you. And you don’t tell us to tone it down. How dare you, again. Not this time.

Ugly words? You haven’t even heard it yet.

Nope, that's not what she said. She admitted to being a little "juvenile", but she was definitely talking about the Supreme Court, not the border.

"I think anyone who has bothered to investigate it knows what he stands for. I really question whether those who have been so quick to go on the attack against Gonzalez know what he stands for."

Your statement quoted above implies that you have investigated Gonzales. Perhaps you can enlighten us all. where does he stand on abortion? Where does he stand on 2nd amendment/ gun control? I look forward to your reply, I have heard that he has been accused of being "challenged" in these two areas.

I'll rest easier the day I hear him announce a true conservative.

There is one guarantee, no matter who he nominates there will be a faction of "true conservatives" that will be unhappy.

The borders have always been "open"and GW is not going to do what it would effectively take to do so. If he did he would be impeached and rightfully so.

Why would a President be impeached for closing the borders?
We are in a time of WAR. The borders are uncontrolled. Lawless, and a joke. An easy entry point for terrorist, who just happen to be our enemy. Millions of illegals are here.because they just crossed over an undefended border.

No I don't think, if the President closed the border he would be impeached. More likely he'd be hailed as a hero.

That's the point. Whoever posted this thread should be banned for dishonesty and putting words in her mouth she never said.

So you think the problems we had with the borders in the 1950s are as bad as it is now?

It is no different.

Why would a President be impeached for closing the borders?

I didn't say that. I said if he were to do what it would require to EFFECTIVLY close the borders it would be with completely unconditional measures.

You said... "Not unlike her words toward the POTUS if, indeed, they are her words. Hey what's good for the goose and all that rot."

For Gods sake ...read what the poster said. Laura is a young woman in the prime of her life with cancer and is in chemotherapy....her engagement broke off. People DIE from cancer at her age.

I find this to be a vicious, heartless remark...not worthy of this forum.

What the hell is going on here...a cult mentality?

Yes, IF Laura Ingraham called President Bush "MR PEPPERS", then she is an hysteric. In the 19th century, even without such a diatribe, she would be considered to be an hysteric.

Okay, okay, I know that you meant me, but you are quite wrong about me.I was attempting to be kind to her, instead of just saying that she's an ill tempered, lost her mind itch, who is playing a gallery of morons, and is now no better than Pelsoi or Hillary.

Like that any better?

It is no different.

You seem very knowledgeable here. So in your opinion, the problem has not escalated, the numbers coming across are no different, and all things considered, our border security and safety is basically what it was in the 1950s?

I don't believe for a second that LI said what is being attributed to her by the author of this thread BUT if she said it then she has truly went around the bend.

She actually said what Brian_Baldwin posted, "no, you tone it down". If the President does appoint a member of La Raza, who claims that Roe v. Wade is "inviolate" (his word, not mine), then we will have been betrayed in the worst way. Now, I don't think that will happen. Alberto Gonzales is a comptetant lawyer and public official, who is an acceptable Attorney General. But he is not the kind of nominee for the Supreme Court that President Bush promised during the 2000 and 2004 campaigns.

"Does that mean all the nasty attacks against the President he is getting on here from so-called conservatives? "

I guess people who believe CFR was a debacle, the education department should be history, prescription drugs are socialism, open boders for illegals is a crime etc. etc are so called conservatives.

Bush shines only in relationship to the black hole that is the Democratic party, but he is certainly a whimp on the domestic side.

Hell security is light years beond the 50's. The "border patrol" in the 50's was almost nonexistent.

I did not hear her call the President "Mr. Peppers". She did say "no, you tone it down". Laura Ingraham is right to be frustrated that the left-wing is pushing this consensus nominee tomfoolery while we are being told to "tone it down". The Supreme Court is out of control, and we need Constitutional conservatives, not members of La Raza to fix it.
