Evian, France, 5 July (AKI) - European Union countries are to carry out joint expulsions of illegal immigrants, France's interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy announced at the end of a two-day meeting of France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain and Germany's interior ministers (G5) at the spa town of Evian. Italy's interior minister, Giuseppe Pisanu, said the measures contained in this "important accord" will be introduced "in a fews days' time". They were unanimously agreed by all five interior ministers. "We have decided to pool our financial and political resources, and to jointly organise flights to repatriate illegal immigrants, said Sarkozy. "Europe as a political entity is sending a clear message to would-be immigrants' countries of origin: those allowed in will have legal documents. Those without these will be deported - but as this is an expensive process, we have decided to split the costs," he said.
Interior ministers agreed that information will be exchanged to enable illegal immigrants coming from the same country, who have been apprehended in different EU countries, to be put on the same planes home.
"The illegal immigrants will be escorted by police from the countries where they were arrested," Pisanu confirmed. "But it will first be established whether they have any right to remain in these countries, under international law," he stressed.
The interior ministers also decided to strengthen border controls. "We are not talking about re-establishing border checkpoints, but to monitor certain routes within the EU," Pisanu explained. For now the borders targeted for closer surveillance are those between Slovenia (a new EU member state), Austria and Germany, as well as those between Italy and France, between Germany and the Netherlands, and between Belgium and France Joint patrols of maritime, rail and road routes are also planned.
The Italian left-wing L'Unita daily, described the joint G5 explusion measures as "a multinational transportation concern that repatriates migrants who have no documents and no rights". "Nothing really changes. Migrants who are picked up without documents, who may be fleeing war or hunger in their native countries, will be denied reception by the European Union," the paper said.
We could do this on our own, but we don't. I hope the Euros are serious and stick to their guns. The western world is under assault. We need to close our borders and have more children. Otherwise we'll all be living back in the dark ages if the worldwide commie-jihadi assault is not stopped.
NOW.
I was gonna say, it's all right for the EU to do this, but we'd be racist. Actually, I thought most Mexicans were of the same race I am.
HOOOOOORAY!!!! The oh-so-civilized (gag) are finally seeing the light....someone must have threatened France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain and Germany's interior ministers with hotfoots, or worse.......

Success is guearanteed with such a plan. NOT!
Big Way to Europe BUMP! Maybe there is hope for Europe after all. France has know for quite a while now that it has a muslim problem, this is a good first step at solving that problem. I am surprised and happy that Germany and the UK went along. Maybe now Bush will get a clue.
We will have to do this eventually or capitulate.
We need to close our borders and have more children.
You are right. Between birth control and abortion our childbirth rate has dropped whereas in the third world the birth rate is high.
It's disgusting that our government will not close and protect our borders.
WTF?? Maybe the Europeans ARE superior in some ways.
"We will have to do this eventually or capitulate."
Exacto [if you'll pardon the spanish lingo.]
In fact, Ike's administration did it in the 1950s. As the round up started, the illegals styarted packing their bags and heading south from whence they hatched. It was called operation Wetback. Google it up if you don't believe me.
Ya hear that, Bush? GET A CLUE!
That tunnel between England and France helps terrorists get around.
