Currently, the Constitution does not ban gay marriage. So they would all say that it's a state issue, which would not sit well with conservatives.

Huh?

What do you mean "huh?" Which point are you saying "huh?" to?

Clearly, the Constitution does not ban gay marriage. Show me where it does.

Equally clearly, conservatives want gay marriage banned nationwide. We forced Congress to pass a law stating that the federal government does not recognize gay marriages. We've pushed for a Constitutional ban.

Where's the confusion?

"They are going to try to get away with the idea that we're not going to know their views," Schumer complained. "But that's not going to work."

A nominee better be lucky
And get approval from close-minded Chucky
His vehemence floors us
He's a one-man Greek chorus
Whose vision for America's yucky.

It was quite early, and I apologize for my lack of specificity. As a conservative, I believe firmly in the principle of subsidiarity. I think issues like "Gay Marriage" belong at the state level, so I was confused by your statement "which would not sit well with conservatives."
