Sen. Charles Schumer, D-NY, called Sunday for Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove to personally deny leaking the name of a CIA official.
Saturday, Rove's lawyer, Robert Luskin told The Washington Post Rove had not disclosed the name of Valerie Plame to Newsweek in a 2003 interview.
Sunday, Schumer, who led the push for a Congressional inquiry into the leak, issued a challenge for Rove to speak for himself.
"We've heard it from his lawyer, but it would be nice to hear it directly from Mr. Rove that he didn't leak the identity of Valerie Plame, and that he didn't direct anyone else to do such a dastardly thing," Schumer said in a statement. "I have said from the first day ... whoever leaked the classified information should be punished to the full extent of the law."
The panel is investigating the leak of Plame's name to various news outlets in 2003. It is a federal crime for a government employee to reveal the name of an undercover operative after the employee learns it from classified material.
Chuckie makes me wanna puke, and that's on a good day. It says a lot about New Yorkers that they elect this guy and Hildebeast for senators, and it's not good.
Democrats have an easy job. Pontificate, just say no, raise taxes, dash for the camera. That's it. Piece of cake and good perks.

If Chuckie isn't careful, he's gonna get himself arrested for harrassing Rove. Might need one of those restraining orders.
Makes me sick to my stomach. NY has problems that need to be addresssed and all these stupid Senators do is cater to all the issues that the DUmmies think are important and will hopefully impeach Bush with. Why are the liberal Senators all of a sudden within the past 4 or 5 months taking up issues that you see on the DU and liberal blog sites? Half of this stuff is just trash and ends up being thrown down the toilet like crap it is! Why are these Senators even getting a salary for reading and addressing worthless stuff like this?

It worked for West Virginia. Folks Upstate should take a look at the idea. Folks in the Northern Tier of PA, too.
Trust me, it's better this way.

This plays well to the DU crowd but it is 100% posturing, milking the falshood for all it is worth.
Making public statements while talking to a grand jury is stupid, and mr. schumer knows that stupid does not describe Mr. Rove.
Mr. Schumer and his challenge are irrelevant.
Rove is a smart cookie I wonder if he's is doing this to trick the Dems and they are falling into this trap. That thought has crossed my mind.
