I think any study that purports to limit the range of human sexual interest is doomed to failure. The sorts of things that turn on some people are not only strange but numerous. I have no problem believing that some people are attracted to both sexes if one can believe that some people are atracted to animals, plants or furniture.

Gratefully, I note that the numbers of such people may be very small.

Did you even read the study? Are you suggesting such people selectivly mask their attractins to one sex intentionally?

As is so typical of the New York Slimes, this post has an obvious political agenda. If significant numbers of (especially) men who try homosexual sex feel free to be "bi-sexual" they may well ultimately reject homosexuality and return to normal sexuality. That diminishes the number of self-identified "gays" and thus reduces the political power of "gay" lobbies. It's almost as if from the homosexual camp we're returning to the old homophobic "suck one xxxx and you're always a xxxxsucker".

Of course, that's absurd. In the elite women's colleges today, there are large numbers of LUGs -- Lesbians Until Graduation -- girls who find it easier to go along with the prevailing lesbian culture without great enthusiasm, and yet end up in normal heterosexual relationships and marriage when they grow up.

Of course, if homosexuality were genetically determined, it would be dying out: if homosexuals reproduce less frequently than heterosexuals, over time the genetic determinant would become less prevalent and eventually die out, or almost so. No, homosexuals can maintain their numbers only by recruitment. And, that recruitment can be successful only if those they recruit feel they cannot, or at least cannot readily, return to heterosexuality.
