While on one of my not-infrequent browses to DU for laughs, I came upon this thread entitled, "Are we being 'Ratherized' with this Plame thing????" An excellent question, I thought. Was there actually a DUer sane enough to remember how they majorly jumped the gun and made themselves look like idiots over what turned out to be very badly forged documents?

Nope.

The thread poster actually remembers the whole Ra^thergate fiasco somewhat differently. He talks about Rather "falling on the sword" as though he did nothing wrong but sacrificed himself for reasons unknown. He's concerned that maybe Judith Miller will (again for reasons unknown) claim to have outed Plame herself, in order to spare Rove. What a joke.

I've often wondered if these people are all on drugs. I think of them or read something they say and the same thing always pops into my mind. It's an old commercial that shows a broken egg in a skillet and you hear a voice say, "This is your brain on drugs!"
