That's the problem with these Live8 jugheads. They think they can solve the world's problems by "text messaging." ROTFL!!!! Don't do drugs while operating your cellphone.

LOL! That does make it look kinda weak.

Side note: If they are not gonna pay the debt, then we should stop sending the aid.

I started to write a very lengthy post on the stupidity of the Live 8 crowd, but then I realized that its wasted breath.

What a bunch of morons.

Yeah, but THIS 500 million votes are going to be aimed straight at the taxpayers of G8 nations, with America at the top of the list for the biggest percentage.

These 26 million jugheads should show their sincerity by giving up text messaging for one year and sending the money they spend each month to text message to the Live8 crowd. Imagine the dent they could put in the number of "poor, hungry and thirsty" worldwide.

Amen. Whenever I hear of these big charity events, like the Sept. 11 and Tsunami telethons, attended by celebrities, the first thought that comes to mind is "yo celebrity people-types. If you gave 1% of your total earnings for a given year to the causes you trump up on tv, then there would be no need for you to beg me for money. Leave me alone."

Now they are getting a little more sophisticated with their harassment techniques - they call everyone to harass world leaders to forgive debt. Still calling for the average everyday man to foot the bill, but a little less obvious.

I wonder if the text message charges were waived by the phone service companies. If not, at least this nonsense may have at least generated a little extra revenue for those companies at the expense of all the gullible boobs clamoring for more socialism.

26 million messages. Likely messages sent multiple times by people who have little or nothing to lose in income through taxes. So kind of them to be so generous with other peoples money

If there is vestigial evidence of Live 8's effect on Africa in three years' time, I'll eat my hat.
