Natalee's family were the ones who found out about Joran and the Kalpoe brothers. They found out within a very few hours after landing on Aruba, and they called the police's attention to them. After that, the police totally botched everything. The Aruban police did not have the Joran-Kalpoe lead until Nat's family gave it to them. That says a whole lot for what the true situation has been down there.

LOL - Apparently so, looks like we both got the same warning!

Nope, not at all. Just sick of hearing people like you tell why YOU wouldn't let YOUR daughter go on a trip... blah, blah, blah, and that Natalee should have known better... blah, blah, blah. At this very late stage of the Natalee investigation, we all look forward to reading something new and not the same old re-hashed comments, which btw, often sound rather too judgmental.

"my question is, deepak talked to security guard, he is looking down in shame, and is covering his shirt...what is the logo on his GREY shirt..."
I never noticed. Now I'm curious.

This is a talk shop. Nothing going on here at FR is going to advance the investigation. I appreciate the depth of feeling people have about the case, but in the end, it is a single missing person who probably cannot be helped at this point, therefore, the best thing that could come of this is for others to understand the danger she put herself in and make sure they don't make the same mistakes.

Post what you want, but since most of us are caught up, maybe you had better, too. Who wants to bother trying to discuss anything with someone who doesn't know what they're talking about?

Took a break, but I see there have been a couple of responses to your question. Have to do...chores....arghhh. Think I'll check out Greta's blog today...I've seen others reference it but haven't read anything directly there. Wonder if she has commented on Beth HT's statement this morning?

you are free to feel superior that you would never get yourself into such a fixPrecisely. When I look back at the things I did when I was Nat's age (and I was a relatively tame kid), I can't believe how stupid I was. Teenagers think they are immortal and that's never going to change. But of course adults who forget what it was like to be a teenage on a class trip will blame poor Nat.
We can tune in O'Reilly when we need to hear someone pontificate.

Thx for posting that, grizzfan.

Well if I posted all the things about this case that i'm sick of, you'd probably hit the abuse button. Unfortunately, we all can't have the forum to ourselves. If you don't like a side discussion going on between others, ignore it!

Go start a safety thread, then.

Thanks for reposting that, I missed it the first time around.
PvdS stinks to high heaven. I did hear this morning that he may be arrested again AGAIN. But I'm not holding my breath.
I can't stand the smug look on JvdS, the all knowing "no body no crime" look!

judging her apparently makes some feel all warm and snuggly in the knowledge that they would never allow such a thing to happen to their child. i have an almost 17 yo daughter and i would not have let her go on such a trip, but my heart breaks for this mother missing her child. horrible catastrophic things can happen to anyone, lest anyone here feel too comfy in their superiority.

Go back to the beginning and read! There is absolutely NOTHING to support the wild child syndrome you're pushing. Most of us here have followed this enough to acknowledge that. Witnesses said she got in a cab. Depaks dark window tinted car, looked like another cab. Witnesses said she drank responsibly. She was taking some kind of medication, so I assume the witnesses are correct on that, too. There is nothing -no witnesses to support your theory.
I claimed no such syndrome, just poor judgment. That is pretty clear and even some statements do support that. Friends have said she drove off with her new friends yelling "Aruba, Aruba". She was hanging out at clubs and bars talking to strange unknown guys and may have left with them willingly. Maybe she was drugged, maybe not. There is no proof of that. Regardless, she was in a potentially harmful situation - young woman partying in a foreign land with no older, wiser or stronger friend beside her. Again, doesn't merit kidnapping or murder, just a word to the wise for the future.

and my point is that anyone following this case undoubtedly has gotten that message already. it has made every parent hearing it, more aware of the dangers facing their children at home and abroad. but judgmentalism doesn't reflect well on anyone.

Fine. We get it. You would have made a different decision than the MB parents. You've made that perfectly clear. Now, we're at the point of trying to figure out what happened to Natalee after she got in the car that night. For whatever reason, that was the last time she was seen. Her family has information that makes them sure that Joran and the Kalpoe brothers and possibly others were involved in her disappearance. Aruban authorities botched the case from the beginning. Ineptness or on purpose? This is where most of us here are at. What do you think happened to Natalee?

It's just that emotions run high on this thread. Many of us are frantic about Nat.
I am sure you mean well, but your points are extraneous to this case. Saying "if she just hadn't gone to C&C's, she wouldn't be missing" is just beside the point.
