Mountain Brook High School graduate Natalee Holloway went missing May 30 during a senior trip to Aruba.

Is that where we are now?
You can tell by the word 'backroom' in the URL while viewing this thread.
Oh, the abandoning good manners. What I was referring to is how women are vulnerable because they are afraid to seem rude. Like someone comes to your door, asks for water. Many women have trouble closing and locking the door and saying no,,they don't want to seem "rude". And someone asks for directions from a car,,they don't want to just keep walking. Predators take advantage of that,,that was the reference to manners.
Not introducing yourself is not bad manners. But you miss meeting people and sometimes it is appropriate to do so.
Yes. Inviting a strange man to meet you at a bar is not a wise thing to do, no matter how nicely he is packaged. People that do that are taking great risks. imo
I meant no offense, was merely attempting to be conversational. I'll work on improving my efforts, to be sure!
Obviously, I'm just a newbie, so I don't really know how to properly remark on your longevity here. Congratulations?
Your post #1871 might have given that impression.
This is exactly what I meant by "spin" -
The very fact that you cannot use the kid's proper name shows that you are trying to evoke emotion... not basing an argument on facts.
You're right. That does sound suspicious. Why get involved at all, based on some postings he read, how, over Deepak's shoulder? I think you're right that they didn't work together...I guess you'd call them acquaintances.
I don't think the Arubans can connect anything, not even dots. And I don't pretend to understand their 'system.'
So, Charles is like a detective or something? Opportunist? Took it upon himself to approach Beth? Hmmm...
Yeah, I was the one who said her eyes looked heavy.
And yes, she was wearing that outfit, that's why they keep showing it.

I think that kid put something in her drink. I'm not sure though, that's not a confirmed fact, it's just my opinion. We all got free food and drinks at the hotel, so very few of us wante dto pay for drinks in the club. Nat didn't bring that much money either, so if she did drink in the club, he would have bought it for her, allowing him to be able to easily slip something in it.

No, we're stinky... we didn't change first. haha

After I said that her eyes looked heavy, but other than that she seemed ok, I was told that GHP made your eyes look heavy and impaired your judgement, but you could still function ok for a while and still be able to talk and interact with people.

She seemed ok... I don't really know very much about the effects of GHP, as I (luckily) haven't ever been given it. All I know is that it can turn your drink kinda bluish if you let it sit for a while. That is in no way relevent to the situation, but that's about all I know.... sorry!

It does get confusing. Good manners. Would inviting people to a New Year's Eve Party then kicking them out before midnight be 'good manners'?
I thought Steve Croes said he overheard a phone conversation...? That's what I'd heard him say in an interview I THINK..
Which is why it seemed so strange how they downplayed their impression of him in Greta's interview.
I think she was behaving the way kids do these days, accepting people who are strangers as having friendly intent.
Every iota we've seen of Joran reeks of arrogance. But to a trusting teenager, that baby-face badboy look must be pretty irresistable.
Why would anyone kick someone out before ringing in the New Year? I can only surmise that it would be because the party in question is falling down drunk. (And I don't get the connection to your question and my post.)
You got it. When we moved to the east coast, I was just talking to all kinds of strangers untill I found out nobody did that up there.
I am struck by how kids are not discernig about strangers. They sort of assume everyone is good. And they ignore warning signs. Until they learn them.
It was a dig at me Sarasota. I am ignoring it!
Oh. OK.
"All the folks involved (except for VDS father) are under the age of 21 ...
I'm hardly an apologist for people who are wicked - but I really wonder when I see the "spinning" of the "facts" that support the case against Joran."

One of the Kalpoes is 25....the other 20 or 21.....DJ Steve Croes is over 25
