" Did you make any sense of what Beth was saying or meant about the phone calls to her son every 15 minutes? "
I missed the first few minutes of Beth's interview with Greta tonight. Would you mind posting what you heard Beth say about the phone calls to her son.
Thank you for all the great information you post on this thread.
To: TexKat
Perhaps she was checking in at home; anticipating a ransom call, call from Natalee, info from MB students, etc.
Did I hear correctly that while Beth was in the back seat of the car, phoning home, CCroes, PvdS, and DK were conversing in Dutch or Papiamento?
To: monkeywrench
It's been pointed out to you that not all taxis DO have lites on top. The witnesses stated Natalee got into a cab. They said she was going back to HI. She was not one to change her mind at the last minute and go elsewhere. They said she leaned out the window and yelled. LOL! Go back and reread, or go start a safety thread.
Not only that, but Natalee told her friends she was going to take a taxi back to the hotel.

Beth was talking to her son while she was sitting in the car outside the VDS house thinking that they were going to be able to go in and look for her. He was calling her every 15 minutes to find out what was going on. That's what I got out of that statement.
To: Dark Skies
#1631 - That's exactly the point. Natalee DID NOT leave with those 3 guys under her own steam. She was definitely drugged. Even the Kalpoe's brothers made the comment that "she was tipsy". Accordingly to her classmates and long time friends, Natalee would have NEVER done that - she was far too cautious. I believe these boys statements have proved the fact that Natalee had been given "something". Who can believe Joran VDS who has changed his story at least EIGHT times (last count I heard). Even his father is a liar.

Not even a blub on NH today. Everything's put on the back burner due to the London bombings for God knows how long. I'm really sorry for Natalee's family. The Arubans must be breathing a sigh of relief tonight.

Hey grizz, good point. Why waste your time? CO!!

Yes, you heard correctly, although I did not pick up on Beth saying CCroes. I had a memory block at the time trying to type what I heard. I do know that she said DK and PVDS. However if she included CCroes, that corroborates CCroes interview with Greta

I find it interesting that Beth was not privy to their conversation. Deliberate?

"So what an irony. The Twittys have likely earned the enduring enmity of the Kalpoes (including the boys' mom), the very people who might be able to give the Twittys the information they so desperately want.
Anyone think the Kalpoes will ever want to help them now ??? Not bloody likely. Yeah, they should do The Right Thing. But that wouldn't be human nature, would it."
Quite frankly, if they're so ticked off at the Twittys for calling them criminals that they won't speak to them or provide them with any information concerning Natalee, they should be even more ticked off at Joran whose repeated statements had quite a hand in keeping them locked up. Human nature, according to you, anyway, may say they won't want to provide the Twitty's with any info., but that same human nature would want to get even with Joran and keep his a** locked up for a heck of a lot longer than the next 60 days.

It also doesn't mean that I am going to turn a blind eye to personal responsibilty. Compassion takes many forms. Remember the old story about being compassionate and giving the poor person money for dinner, and it was pointed out that it would have been even more compassionate to teach that person how to fish, hunt or garden, so that they would be able to feed themseves always, instead of just one meal. ,br>
You're preaching personal responsibility reminds me of the following passage. He also said to them, You completely invalidate Gods command in order to maintain your tradition! For Moses said: Honor your father and your mother; and, Whoever speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death. But you say, If a man tells his father or mother: Whatever benefit you might have received from me is Corban (that is, a gift committed to the temple), you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. You revoke Gods word by your tradition that you have handed h down. And you do many other similar things. The Holy Bible Holman Christian standard version. 2003 (Mk 7:9-13). I find it interesting that Beth was not privy to their conversation. Deliberate? I find it interesting that she did not get out of the car. I find it interesting that she did not stay right where she was. If I thought my daughter was being held hostage inside a particular location wild horses could not make me leave that location.

Maggie I know EXACTLY who you mean. She's the same one who had umpteen names on the Peterson thread and the "spirit" of her posting was the same as here. Making excuses for the perp and re-victimizing the victim.

Bingo! The same can be said about the Chandra Levy threads/forums.
To: Rippersnapper
Giddyup horsey (personal responsibility)!! What don't you understand about Natalee's mind having been subjected to drugs and therefore the inability to act in her USUAL responsible manner?

After 38 days it is clear that NH is dead. I will predict that they find her remains. Why? Because I have never seen such an intensive search for a previously unknown American citizen (non-military) in a foreign country in my lifetime.
Juran is guilty. His guilt will never amount to murder. It will be defined as manslaughter (American term). I believe he will serve time in prison (less than five years).
May God bless you, NH, and your entire family.

Beth said she couldn't understand the conversation. She questioned why LE could not get a search warrant, why they had to leave the vdS home, and why they were going back to the HI. It appears this poor woman was stonewalled from day one.
