Mountain Brook High School graduate Natalee Holloway went missing May 30 during a senior trip to Aruba.

OMG! He does. I hadn't noticed. LOL.
Steve Croes worked at a what they call "internet cafe", I believe, and Deepak was someone who used that service. The two did not work together, as I understand it. Someone will correct me if I am wrong. Then, Croes swears that he did not even know Deepak personally, but that the saw his postings and felt like he should act as a support witness for what Deepak was telling about Natalee and the Holiday Inn. It never made much sense, and it is suspicious. However, it would be very, very easy for investigators to find out if Steve knew Deepak or not. Apparently they cannot find a connection. Note I said "apparently"...
trivia time:
1. What date did Natalee go missing?
2. What date did Rippersnapper register on FR?
if nothing else, the answers are ironic.
I am not a guy. Check my tagline.
I've been a memember of FR, since Sept. '01.
No, Deepak worked at the internet cafe and Steve Croes worked on the party boat Tatoo.
You're 100% correct. And, as the book Hillary's Secret War for which JR wrote the foreward tells us, lots of them are paid opinion shapers who come here to stir dissent among conservatives.
Interesting...registered before the news cycle reported her missing, yet...
You may be on to something Vn.
Okay, that's right. How did Croes justify his decision to back up Deepak's story...did it not have something to do with claiming he read his postings, or postings about him, on the Internet?
My understanding is the Deepak works at the internet cafe. SC goes there sometimes. Supposedly he overheard a phone conversation about the "dropped her off at the HI and she fell" story. Then he decided he would be a good guy and help the local brother out by making a false statement about seeing her 'staggering around' the HI. I agree with the question Greta asked "Is he a nut?".
I know. I worry that Beth and Jug and the other family members are alone now without the sunlight of media, especially Greta, who was such great support for them. I just hope the cables and networks have left at least one reporter on the island.
They'll need to cling closely to the FBI.
Media departure is terribly untimely, what with those 200 protestors wanting our media to leave.
Yeah, I noticed that too. It bothers the hell out of me when people say the sort of things that Ripper has said about Beth and Natalee. And dont bother responding to this Ripper. Please. We all know what you think by now. It's 4:00, go watch Oprah.
Someone on another thread (I think) had a great tagline--because I'm a mom over 30, my memory is shot, but the net effect of the tagline was "he learns more accidentally on FR, then on purpose anywhere else" That's how I feel about this site. I love the news that I wouldn't see anywhere else. I love to see other people's perspective. In some political threads, people break down theories that I would never be able to 'get' just reading about them. I've learned much.
For threads like this that just kind of grip you--you fear the worst, but still have hope--it just boggles my -- not naive, and not innocent mind that people are just ugly just because they can be. What on earth is the point?
The snitty little superior hindsight posts are obnoxious at best. I am so glad decisions made when I was 17 and 18 didn't result in my parents having to be on the TV pleading for more information--even if it was just to take me home for a funeral. While it's unfortunate that not every missing persons case gets this type of publicity, good for Beth Twitty that she's media savvy enough to go after it. I would do the same thing if it were my daughter that was missing.
Well...I was clear on the nuttiness of his story and the lack of any understandable motivation as you say. I was just fuzzy on how he came across some kind of communication about or from Deepak, and I thought it was connected with the internet cafe. But the exact details were hard to nail down, at least for me. Now I see it is pretty hard to nail down, period. LOL
With so many rumors out there the story keeps moving around. Makes anything hard to nail down. Over at SM they are talking about Joran killing his dog for goodness sakes. Now just how would they know anything like that???
Hang in there...Freepers will get the facts!
