Thanks for your responses about Paul's "no body, no crime" statement. That cleared it up for me.
Pretty funny...they have admitted to lying from the getgo.
They concocted a story that was calculated to and succeeded in putting two innocent black security guards in the slammer.
Since that story crashed and burned, the best info we can gather is that Joran has told different stories from the Kalpoe brothers. But if you want to be noted for not following this story very closely, by all means continue to say there is no evidence they are not telling the truth.
Oh yes, and Joran had a story to tell about Natalee BEFORE it became public knowledge that Natalee was missing. And he told it.
Why did he invent an explanation for what happened to
Natalee...which later turned out admittedly false...even before anyone but her family knew she was missing? Why, because Joran knew she would turn up missing and he would have to have a story, ready to roll off his tongue.
That is one huge red flag.
You could just put up a thread in General Interest saying that it is a prayer thread for the Holloway and Twitty families. Then ping me, and I will ping the prayer warriors.

I thought so at the time and again when I read the transcript. Since I believe Greta's style would have been to get a lot more details (like who called him, what phone call they listened to, who was the young man in his car, etc.) I tend to think that Greta had to agree not to pursue certain questions or he was deliberately vague. (Which brings to mind Twittys and the information they don't want to reveal at this stage.)

Same with us. No way in hell anyone in my family is ever going to Aruba again. The last holdout in my family in the debate made up his mind this morning after reading that they're trying to cast suspicion on the family now. That is beyond evil, IMO.
It's evident why there are no cameras and press at these hearings since everyone is allowed to be a Jon Lovitz character from SNL and just tell one lie after another.
One real problem with the Dutch method of not letting the public know facts of the case prevents witnesses from coming forward and saying what they seen, heard. If people knew where and when these perps took NH, then people would have a chance to state what they seen if around those places at those times or if they seen the car etc driving around an area at a certain time.
This is not like a crime that happens in most neighborhoods, the possible witness are mostly trancient in Aruba since most will be travelers.
They won't be able to be canvassed by police hanging out at the beach, days, weeks and months later, and questioning people if they seen something that night, since most have returned home.
Anybody who was around at the possible areas now must rely on scant, rumor filled stories to determine if they might have something of interest.
This system would be flawed in a stable setting but the trancience of the Aruba travellers makes it deeply flawed.
I suspect that Croes may have been called by someone in the States regarding a call received pertaining to this case seeking info on the number displayed on caller ID in the States, and that upon seeing that the originating number was one for a cellphone issued by Croes in Aruba......because of that, Croes had access to the existing voicemail in that account at that time. Croes could not have access to ALL cell accounts passing through the single tower in Aruba, just the ones for the phones his company issued.

Hmm. I'm starting to buy the Shango stuff bcse that, combined with the rumored "I don't know these people" call to the student's cell at a later time makes me think the 3 creeps raped her and then handed her off to others. God help her if those others took her off island.
I am a little confused tho. Beth said that Mississippi police would have a video of her getting out of her car and telling the State Trooper that her daughter had been kidnapped in Aruba. If she was coming from Arkansas, got the call in Memphis, how could she have been back down in MS?
