DUBAI, 5 July 2005 A newly named spokesman for two Iraqi insurgent groups yesterday asked the US Congress to make an official offer for negotiations with Washington, according to an interview broadcast on Al-Jazeera television. We will accept nothing but an official initiative from the US Congress with a precise timetable and a binding decision. Let this be clear, Ibrahim Yusef Al-Shammari said, speaking on behalf of the Islamic Army in Iraq and the Army of the Mujahedeen.
An unverified statement posted on the Internet in the name of the two insurgent groups announced the appointment of Shammari as joint spokesman following Washingtons admission it had held talks with rebel representatives.
Asked if secret negotiations had begun between rebels and US authorities in Iraq in an attempt to negotiate an end to the insurgency, Shammari denied any dialogue with US forces but was less clear as to whether unofficial contacts had been made.
I deny the existence of a dialogue... All initiatives on these negotiations will be done according to our political program... and no contact of this kind has taken place directly or indirectly with the Americans, he said to the Qatar-based channel.
Negotiations are a part of our political program and they are not happening at the moment because of the situation on the ground... the United States doesnt want to negotiate but they want scorched-earth politics, he said.

Okay, who put them on the fax list for the DNC talking points?
They should be called Errorists rather than Terrorists. Never have so many been wrong about so much for so long.
Considering their tactics of prentending to surrender, I say anhillation of the terrorists (or what the MSM calls "insurgents") is the best course of action.
Has anyone seen John Kerry?
Kind of like the Democrats...
Viet Nam, Paris peace talks, playing us for patsies while buying time.
Sorry, morons, you picked a fight with the wrong president, and our congress can't help you this time.
When the enemy asks for negotiations with Congress, it means they have identified the weak link of underminers in the US government. They may be exhausted too, but it shows they have listened to Durbin, Hagel, Pelosi, Reid etal. who I am sure are shocked, shocked that they enemy views them as the weak link.

If Terrorists would negotiate with Durbin, Hagel, Pelosi, Reid etal, that would be like negotiating with their own Political wing.
While they may well begetting exhausted, it would be a big mistake to validate them by recognizing them as a negotiating entity.
An attempt to drive a wedge between a resolute President and a wavering Congress.
Negotiation my a.s.......you can't negotiate with BEHEADING islamofacists, you ONLY made sure you KILL THEM ALL, NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES!!!
They seem to be asking for Kennedy's solution. They are desperate; he is treasonous.
Sure they want to deal with congress. They think congress is made up of guys like Durbin and Kennedy who they think are fools and cowards.
Let's not have a sellout by members of Congress. A little more fighting and these "insurgents" will be a lot more reasonable.
We do not negotiate with terrorists. We KILL terrorists.
That is all they need to know. Period!
Screw 'em. Hit them as harder than ever, 24 hours a day for a week. See what kind of negotiations they would like then. This appeal for negotiations is nothing but an insult and should be rewarded as such.
The Sunnis want their cut of the oil money. They see the price of Saudi Light on the spot market. They want in on the action.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Or maybe they won't return at all. Hostages have been taken in that area; the latest being an Egyptian ambassador.
Picture Ted Kennedy or Dick Durbin being held captive by these terrorists. It'd be a crying shame, wouldn't it?
