The proof is in the pudding. Comets and astroids have hit the earth before and we are still here aren't we? You put your money on NASA, I'll put mine on God.
Man wasn't around yet at the last major extinction causing impact 65 mya.
Keep posting. You're giving religion a bad name. You realize your opinion on this probably matches the Islamic Fundamentalists exactly don't you?
God gave us the talent to conduct scientific experiments.
Don't waste God's talents.
Oh please. Your *first* argument was that the experiment was a waste of *money*, hardly something that concerns God. Your *new* argument fails for entirely different, but no more basic, fundamental (pun intended) reasons such as the fact that God gives us *talents* that if we don't use, we suffer for said disuse.
And your knowledge of comet and asteroid strikes is likewise deeply flawed; the last *major* strike was before Man occupied this planet, for instance.
Similarly, you failed to understand how hitting a hyper-speed object millions of miles away would put the U.S. on a technical path that could intercept various future forms of high-speed objects (Man-made or otherwise).
In short, you've not managed to understand any aspect of which you've been ranting about, a sure sign of an uneducated ideologue at an isolated computer terminal with nothing else to do save to spout utter nonsense.
And it's not just that *this* discussion is clearly over your head, it's that you've made it readily apparent that most *any* technical or religious discussion is beyond your intellectual grasp (though no doubt that won't stop you from ranting on, anyway).
