But why are they avoiding him? Is it just possible that what this article is claiming is exactly wrong?
Well, to be fair, I don't perceive that the author of the article is claiming anything in particular. Rather, she quotes Bob Mulholland and a "grass roots activist," and they claim that Howard Dean has been successful. This is, of course, known as whistling past the graveyard.
The article was a good one, in my opinion, but the headline was extremely misleading. In fact, the story devoted considerably more space to Dean's detractors within the Democrats than his defenders.
