My daughter went to Iraq in April for 8 days with a group of Radio Talk Show hosts so this is not a new thing. What this group did discover was 1. the soldiers had a STRONG dislike of the media and until they realized my daughter's group were Conservatives they were not treated the best. 2. The military were proud of the job they were doing and the morale was HIGH 3. It was not as dangerous as the 6 o'clock news shows 4. The Iraqi people were happy the Americans were there.

Basically what my daughter saw is that what we are seeing on the news is NOT THE WAY IT IS.

DC (WMAL AM630) talk radio host, Michael Graham, is going to Iraq on the Truth Tour. I think it's a great idea, and I am very happy to hear that there are other "conservative talk radio hosts" going on the trip as well. They can report on the good work that our military are doing in Iraq - to their listeners in other cities in the US; which the MSM network news are refusing to report. Good for them all! I'll be listening.

That is the point the liberals can't seem to understand.

The talk radio hosts are going to talk directly to the troops in combat to find out what is going on. Our troops have been screaming about the unfair liberal media bias covering Iraq. Now, they will get the chance to tell their own story. Not all of it will be good, but it will be more fair than what the left wing "Blame America First" crowd keeps dishing out!

The fact that our military is proud of their record is just too much for the left to accept.

There have been talk radio hosts over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Rush even went to Afghanistan.

This is the first time the CENTCOM has participated in making it an officially sanctioned trip. It starts with a briefing at CENTCOM headquarters in Tampa before they all head over to Baghdad.

Move America Forward is putting on a BBQ for the headquarters staff. They need some financial help since it looks like the turnout is going to be huge in appreciation for these talk show hosts who are going over there.

So any financial help for this worthwhile "thank you" can be made by going to www.MoveAmericaForward.com and contributing online.

Methinks the "critics" protest too much

Exactly, they do not want them exposed for the liars that they are.  I think it is about time someone shows the OTHER side of the war ... the people that are happy to be free of Saddam and want the insurgents captured.

If you listened to just the anti-American MSM, you'd think everyone in Iraq misses Hussein and thinks of the terrorists as heroes.

It's time to show the TRUTH!

Liberals go, its a fact-finding or humanitarian mission. Conservatives go, and its a propaganda tour. Well, perhaps the 'critics' are the propagandists seeding more of their misinformation.

Gee...ya think?

The "real" journos could not be more condescending, could they? As far as I can tell, nobody is trying to take their jobs away from them, but they perceive it as a threat to their integrity, as if radio people and writers are in the same business. Jeeze.

Radio types are the perfect conduits for letting the soldiers tell their own stories.

FOX should get on board and lend a hand----if they can tear themselves away from Aruba for a few hours, that is.

After pestering my boss some more, she has agreed to send me to Iraq. We are working out the many details. Date TBD ASAP.

When I retired, I thought I wouldn't be getting shot at anymore and that no one would be trying to blow me up anymore.

That will teach me to think.

I hope to get with a Marine grunt or Recon unit so I feel at home, not to mentioned feel protected.

I agree. We will lose this war if the MSM, DNC and academia continues to get their viewpoints on the news and undermind our public will to fight like they did during Vietnam. Hannity and other talk show hosts are needed in US to counter our enemies at home. I have many friends who are serving, none of them complain that talk show hosts do not visit them, they want them home 24/7 to counter the leftwing bias.

Check the posting history, Meek. The force is strong with this one. Three years of posting liberal tripe without being singed by lightning. Impressive.

The only other house lefty I've seen with this kind of tenure is that Murraysmom wing nut.

"This is the most pathetic thing I've heard in a long time. They should be ashamed of themselves," Peter Beinart, editor of left-leaning The New Republic magazine, said.

The left hates it when the truth comes out and their propaganda is exposed.
These right wingers are true patriots. Gods bless them and their journey.

THe morning drive guy at WPTF-Raleigh just spent a week in Iraq and got no press. I suppose it takes two people doing something for the left to even notice.

Thanks for reading,

Wow Gunny Bob... that's great to hear! Can't wait to hear about the details on your radio show or at your website.

Welcome to the real world of Fox News that has hired Weasley Clark as a military analyst to with Geraldo and the rest of the liberals.

Believe you nailed it but will guarantee that the Fox News defenders won't see it that way. Some have lost all objectivity on the news reporting. MSNBC is a lost cause, CNN had better change or go down the tubes, and now Fox News is free to do whatever it wants -- used conservatives to make it #1 and have all of us get it on our local cable companies and now moves to the middle and left of middle sometimes.

"houston1:...."Rush & Hannity have gone zero times as far as I know"....."

You've been living in a cave right?

Rush went to Afghanistan a couple months ago...he's there and will do a special report on the 4th of July.

Hannity hasn't gone to Iraq yet because this is the first time they've allowed the talkers into Iraq.

The liberals can't live with the truth. They have to twist everything into their "Blame America First" mentality.

It would have been even better if they had invited Rush who has the majority of talk-host listeners!!!

Liberals reaction to this radio talk hosts' mission to Iraq is proof liberals are the Hate America crowd. The Left's doomers and gloomers cannot bear to see us win in Iraq, let alone hear any good news from there. They have a psychological investment in an American defeat. That pretty much says it all.

The smell of liberal press desperation is becoming quite a stench.

It's just a part of the democratic party's steady meltdown!!!
