I'm a little disappointed in Fox News. This is their first report on the trip and they report on the criticism of the trip before they ever report to their viewers on the actual "Truth Tour" itself.
Shame on them...that's the tactic of the left-wing media... report on conservatives by reporting on how people say they are wrong/bad/evil.

the left has done their best to distort iraq to their advantage.
where do you think all those po' folks get new american flags, and nicely painted anti-u.s. signs? -- from the american journalists.

I have no problem with FOX on this--reporters/commentators going over to report on a story is NOT a news story; being criticized for it is.

"This is the most pathetic thing I've heard in a long time. They should be ashamed of themselves," Peter Beinart, editor of left-leaning The New Republic magazine, said,
"What's the matter? Don't they trust us?"

They have no idea what journalism is, and to pretend they are journalists is laughable," Beinart said. "You do not achieve victory by not facing reality.
Guess it all depends on who is defining "reality".

The "critics" don't "get it." "Propaganda" is written by Leftist jugheads in the offices of the NYT and WaPo in New York. Going to Iraq to see for yourself is not "propaganda."

It is disapointing to see Fox News give all of that space to the critics.
But, the point is that the left is going crazy that Move America Forward to taking conservative talk show hosts to Iraq to broadcast the truth from the mouths of the Marines, soliers and airmen themselves.
The liberals can't live with the truth. They have to twist everything into their "Blame America First" mentality.

The first sanctioned tour by CENTCOM of talk radio hosts going over to Iraq isn't a news story in your mind? Wow - you and I see it differently. I think the fact that talk radio is going to allow U.S. Troops to report directly on how they see things going after they've complained other media outlets only report on bad news is very much a news story. You and I certainly look at this quite differently!

Liberal talk radio hosts were invited - but they declined. One of them was Alan Colmes I believe!
To: FlingWingFlyer; Impeach98; CO Gal
Methinks the "critics" protest too much.....
To: Impeach98
I thought I heard Colmes was going over, just not with this bunch? In any case, can't call it a propaganda trip when the libs chickened out.

How dare these people go to Iraq to get a first-hand experience of what the war is really like!! They should just trust the mainstream ultra-liberal media. When has the liberal media ever been wrong?

It just kills the leftist, anti-American elite media, when folks (conservative media), who truly care about our country and our service men and women, report the truth. It also kills the elite media that there might be another media out there that is rooting FOR the United States to win the war on terrorism and in Iraq, rather than against us. A neutral press, as they like to claim they are, serves no one but the enemy.

FNC is too slow to report on this. What is it with FNC lately? It is as if they keep slipping in DNC talking points. (ie Suport Gonzalez, Weasely Clerk, Oreily's weaseling his harvard into his comentaries)
