You know, one of my grandmas knew Bill Tilghman when she was a kid; he used to carry a sack of candy in his coat pocket to give to the youngsters so they all rather liked him ;<]

I can just imagine what guys like Tilghman or Heck Thomas or Paden Tolbert would have done to this vermin.

Bass Reeves really should be a strong point during Black History Week. He nailed 14 baddies!

That's simple, they would have killed him.
Bill Tilghman was not only the finest lawman who ever lived, he was also the last. He was a Peace Officer. He was murdered by Wiley Lynn, a drunken Federal Prohibition Officer in 1924. Lynn got off because he was "drunk" and a Federal Law Enforcement Officer.

Since that day, we have had Law Enforcement Officers. Peace Officers got rid of the scumbags and trouble makers and kept crime rates low.

Law Enforcement Officers concentrate on control of the citizenry instead of the elimination of dangerous outlaws and keep crime rates high to justify their high paid existence.

The Peace Officer system was better!
