Cooper and Miller were found by the SP to be trying to frame Karl Rove. Can you explain that to me?
  1. Miller and Cooper refuse to testify before the Grand Jury.
  2. They don't even want to turn over evidence (notes, emails, etc.
  3. When this story first broke, Wilson said Karl Rove would be frog-marched out of the WH in handcuffs.
  4. There was a conspiracy to blame the outing of Plame on Karl Rove.
  5. Karl Rove did not out Plame and the SP knows it.
  6. The SP knows who did it.
  7. The SP thinks that Miller and Cooper must testify before the GJ because they either lied to investigators, participated in a conspiracy to out Plame (via Wilson) and blame Rove, or they have evidence of who did.
  8. They are caught in a perjury trap. If they testify untruthfully before the GJ, as Cooper's notes seem to indicate according to O'Donnell, they participate in the conspiracy to implicate Rove before not only the investigators, but the GJ itself. If they testify truthfully they implicate their other friends/co-conspirators (Wilson, etc.).

I apologize, af; I misread your original post and thought you posted SC, meaning Supreme Court. I am dead tired tonight.

So what you are saying is that Cooper and Miller are our "new" Susan McDougals?

But wait, according to Rove's own attorney, Rove and Cooper did speak, so Rove could, by his attorney's own admission, be in the notes. Rove was indeed "a source" for Cooper. What we have are two very explicit, no wiggle-room, denials by Rove's attorney that this info to Cooper involved identifying Valerie Plame (Coper and Rove could have talked about a dozen other things). If this attorney is not telling the truth, then there's going to be heck to pay. If he is telling the truth, then this whole story continues not to make any sense. Rove releases Cooper and testifies that he talked to him. Who is Cooper protecting? What I think may be going on is that someone leaked an interesting but unimportant tidbit about Rove to throw people off the trail about Mr or Ms X, who Cooper is really protecting, and to embarrass Rove. Who is X?
