Well...we are 37 minutes into the supposed "global concert of a lifetime" and MTV has managed to show 12 minutes of commercials for reality programming, interrupted 3 performances, and have shown a highlights package from the UK with the biggest names of the day already performing.
Yep. MTV has found a way to not show music on a day where music is all around them. So away with the Live 8 thread....
This is just great!!!!!
If Floyd went on tour and donated every penny to Africa, maybe that alone would solve their problems. That tour would generate so much cash it would your head spin.
I dare say they sound better than the wall coming down concert in Berlin.
oh yeah!
NOOOOOOO....They're not cutting to it in Canada
What's best is it's just the four of them, no army of backing musicians and singers.
yer kiddin' ,..right??
Now I'm tearing up....
and they sound fantastic!
this is sweet - somebody kidnapped the dj's and they're letting Floyd play!
I've had goosebumps for the last 15 minutes! I know how you feel.
Waters gives props to Syd, shine on you crazy diamond.
Sadly no .. Because the REAL problem is that the money isn't going to the people that really need it
It's going to the crooks in the governments over there
And until they wake up to this fact .. money will continue to be lost
They have been raising money and attention to the problems in Africa FOR YEARS!!
and things over there only get worse
It was only Roger Waters in Berlin. Waters, Gilmore, Wright and Mason have not performed live together since 1979.
This is historic.
4 songs? No way!
Yes Way!!!!!!!!
This is AWESOME!
Wish I still smoked :)
Of course your right, but still if they toured it would easily be the highest grossing tour ever.
