Yes, they did.... I was watching this for 10 or 15 minutes before any thread got posted from Fox.... but I'm really tired of 'first' being the most important goal. It has only led us to rushed, poorly researched, ad lib guesswork being reported as 'news', news they often have to correct later.
I wanted to repaste this exchange from one of the pulled duplicate threads. As happens too often, the first thing reported is so often false. All the technology of the information age, and we are less accurate than in the days of old fashioned, slow, but well researched news. The news stations, and the expectations of viewers, need to be scaled back to the days when reporters wanted to be sure before they uttered a word. There is absolutely no public benefit to LIVE-on the air-writing this and correcting ourselves as we speak- kind of reporting. We don't ~need~ instant news. We need correct news.
Unfortunately, the police are now saying that Dylan has not been found.
I was watching TV, reading here on FR, thought it was news...In the future, I'll wait. Since I post too many threads as it is....
