Yes, I remember that guy from the party. He was awaiting sentencing for something. I didn't follow the case much after that--just to google for news and enough to know that Jesse was in jail. Read a little about some of the other stuff at CTV forum a day or two ago. But all along the cops kept saying that the dad wasn't a suspect & something about the way they said he wasn't made me think they meant it (vs the song & dance you usually hear). And, an older son was murdered. To me, that pointed away from the dad.
Right--Duncan's vehicle was a rental with plates stolen in Missouri.
Hopefull they'll clear up some coldcases by sweating this psychopath.
Extremely possible. He's highly intelligent like all successful sociopaths. As for wanting to be caught, some of the entries on his web log talk about "when I'm gone, or turn myself in".
He bragged about an encrypted diary.
My money is that he is going to implicate his family in this business.
The guy thinks he's very smart. His arrogance is going to be his undoing.
You're in good company asking that. Others have voiced the same concern along with saying the Perps would dump the plates. So that really isn't a good idea after all.
sw
No doubt about that.
Correcting myself--his car had stolen Missouri plates, not necessarily stolen in Missouri. Could've been stolen at any airport or downtown parking lot near Fargo.
"How many years was he in prison?"
20 years, I believe.
I'm thinking there's a collection of individuals who've crossed paths though jail, drugs, porn, pedophilia, the internet -- and there are several people involved when this is all done.
"The three victims had been bound with Zip Ties, an item sold at a local Lowes hardware store. The FBI interviewed customers who bought the item at Lowes. Since Kootenai County Sheriff Rocky Watson has previously said that the murders must have been planned in advance since "the item used to tie them up was not in the house... [The killer] must have brought it with him," there's no certainty that the ZIp Ties used were in fact purchased at Lowes".
Right Missouri....
The kid claiming to be his nephew on the blog site lists his home as Kansas City....any Idaho freepers that can call this info to the cops?
They didn't catch the stolen tag and they may have missed this.
Seconded.
I'm gonna go try to salvage what's left of my vacation **SIGH**
May ALL of our Independence Day weekends end on a much happer note, with the miraculous finding of young Dylan alive and the SpecOps unit in Afghanistan making their way to safety and making contact.
parolled after 14 years.
He (Duncan) has used the "empty chamber trick" in the past to scare someone into doing as he asks.
A couple of other thoughts: the crime scene (from what I have read) decribes an explosive type of fit, like that of someone who has had this urge building up. After such an explosion, there is a period of coming down. Once this "genius" came down from his murderous high, he realized he had no where to go. He was probably trying to give himself up, but couldn't get himself to do it, and was too much of a coward to do himself in. Please, society, fry him!
agreed
Robbery in Post Falls leaves victim beaten
On May 18, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Post Falls Police Department responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 2200 block of Lady Anne Way in Post Falls. A female called to report that her neighbor had come to her house at approximately 8 a.m. to use her telephone to call a relative; her neighbor came in covered in blood, bleeding from the head.
During the phone conversation, the female caller overheard the telephone conversation of the male reporting to the relative that he had been severely beaten and robbed by two males and a female, he relayed information that his vehicle was also stolen during the incident. When the female asked the male to contact the police, he told her that he could not contact the police...
When officers arrived at the home, they found the victims home ransacked and the victim covered in blood; he refused medical attention at the scene...
...the female who had given him a ride home attacked him along with the two males. Authorities believe that the males followed the victim and the female back to the Post Falls home. The victim received several blows to the head and lost consciousness. When he woke up he was bound with tape and zip ties. One of the males held a shotgun, and told the victim that he would be killed if he attempted to move. The suspects proceeded to ransack his home, taking his wallet, money, and credit cards. They forced the victim, at gunpoint, to give up his bank personal identification number. Once he provided this number, the female suspect left the residence and went to a local bank to withdraw money from the victims account. The male suspects remained at the residence for her to return. The suspects then stole his vehicle and left the scene.
Later in the evening, the Spokane County Sheriffs Department located the vehicle in the Spokane area and arrested both males after a vehicle pursuit. They are currently in custody at the Spokane County Jail. The suspects have been identified as Donald W. Brown, 26, of Spokane, WA, and Steven L. Murphy, 25, of Spokane, WA. Both men have lengthy criminal records.
The Post Falls Police Department is working to identify the female suspect and describe her as a white female, between the ages of 28 and 32, with dark shoulder length hair, medium build. Authorities believe her first mane maybe Debra and goes by the street name of Angel.
Anyone with information please contact the Post Falls Police Department at 208-773-3517 or visit the Post Falls Police (http://www.postfallspolice.com/) website and leave an anonymous tip.

This was May 18th, after the Groene family incident.
Mark McKenzie is also Brenda's cousin.
Doesn't appear that it's relevant...whether they were 1st, 2nd, 3rd cousins...actual blood cousins...or acquired thru marriage/ divorce/ remarriage.
""Some people would get a psychotic depression and kill their own children because they're convinced they're doing the right thing," he added. "But frequently, those killings are not going to be as brutal (as the Groene killings) because, fundamentally, they care about the child."
In some odd way, he said, "They think they're being a good parent. They think they're putting the child in a better place."
Other than that, Worst said, it's hard to pinpoint the kind of person who could repeatedly smash in the head of a 13-year-old boy.
"Numerous types of people are capable of this kind of murder," he said, "some of whom are not mentally ill and in some cases are not even anti-social personalities. Terrorists are a good example of that. We're seeing that in Iraq."
Whether he's been living in
a house or a motel (unlikely,
I think), the person that
owns the property surely
knows Duncan's been arrested
and that person could notify
LE where to find the property.
