Or that Rove would talk to Time to out a CIA official?Rove talked to Novak, not Time, and yes, I think KR and Novak talk frequently.

Exactly, that's what Fred Barnes said, with no disagreement from the others on the panel.

He's like a male Elenor Clift. Actually, I think that hybrid might be far more heterosexual.

We'll have to see how this plays out. I'd be surprised if Rove was the source of the leak, but I'm not surprised that he's accused of being it.
If he did it, that's wrong. What Sandy Berger did was ten times worse and he got a handslap, but we can't condone revealing the identities of CIA agents, even if they're not really in a spy capacity.

If this is only speculation, then I don't believe it. Cooper has no reason to 'protect' Karl Rove - I'm sure he would do just the opposite.

My bad, you're correct about Larry O'Brien. But I seem to recall a Larry O'Donnell in there somewhere.
To: summer
My opinion:
O'Donnell knows who it is, and its a demorat, but he doesn't want that to get out, so he's blowing smoke to Rove to have the liberial news media and everyone else believe its Rove....when in fact, I bet, it's a demorat!
It's going to be interesting to watch how they try to spin this....I hope there are enough good reporters out there that don't work for the demorats that the truth will come out.....

It got started because the press demanded an investigation and Bush complied with 'their' wishes. The WSJ stated this situation in the Thursday or Friday editorial. The press were the ones to invite the prosecution in!

Rove talked to Novak, not Time, and yes, I think KR and Novak talk frequently. Perhaps, but according to Novak, Rove is not his source. A search on Google produced this: "'Nobody in the Bush administration called me to leak this,' Novak said on 'Crossfire.' 'There is no great crime here.'"
To: summer
Riiiiight....Like the rats wouldn't be using this as a political sledgehammer as soon as they could pin this on him.

Lawrence O'Donnell can't mask his hatred for the Bush administration. He's like a male Elenor Clift. Why would anyone believe O'Donnell about anything? (other than an apparent expertise about what happens when you fail to take your meds.)

.....This whole thing makes no sense....
Cooper knows the source and has had several months to develop documents outing whom ever he chooses. Rove is the politically correct choice.
Keep in mind Cooper works for Time Warner a corporate entity with extreme leftists politics and absolutely no scruples.

.....but we can't condone revealing the identities of CIA agents, even if they're not really in a spy capacity. That's just the point. Valerie Plame never was an agent, she never was a spy, and her employment by the CIA was never classified.
The closest she ever got to agent activity was when she travelled under an assumed name on agency business. Even her husband talked about that in a televised press conference.

MSNBC Democrat Analyst Suspected of infecting boy with HIVUnnamed sources say a 9 year old boy is identifying O'Donnell as the source of his HIV infection
I mean, if you are going to imitate libs like O'Donnell and cite unnamed sources to start outrageous rumors, do as they do and go for the gusto!
After all, it's not whether they might be true, it's the gravity of the charges.

Thanks for the ping. I've posted my analysis on
this thread and will read this one shortly.
Suffice to say at this time that Rove didn't have a thing to do with this "leak", nor did anyone in the WH.
