Considering the weaklings, the compromise choices and the other non-conservatives that Jorge has nominated for other posts, I believe my pessimism is warranted. Until Roberts actually has a significant record of decisions, I will be wary of him. This is a supposedly conservative president who has done more to betray conservative values and virtues than most liberals would have. Basically, a stealth candidate works both ways...either a stealth liberal appointed by a Republican who thinks he's getting a conservative, or a stealth candidate appointed by a liberal to blunt conservative opposition. Either way, we the People get screwed.
A little skepticism is warranted by FReepers. After all, this IS the president who called it "vigilantism" to defend our borders and let Ted Kennedy write his education bill. I'm not about to drink el Presidente Jorge's Kool-Aid.
