Thanks for the audio mark.

To me it sounded like he was talking specifically about people who've *never* heard the gospel message. He was saying he believes Jesus Christ can come into a person's heart even if (s)he hasn't ever heard of Him or read a Bible before.

I don't see how anyone can argue with that unless he claims to know exactly how God determines the salvation of those who, as mentioned before, have *never* heard the gospel message.

That is really unbiblical. The bible is the means, the word, the history of Jesus Christ. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Without faith there is no salvation.

The New Testament can be summed up simply..."Christ died for our salvation, and this truth MUST be propagated to every corner of the Earth". In light of your comments above, why then is it so necessary to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, if the absence of it gives people a special exemption, or pass, into heaven? No, the New Testament places a huge burden on every believer to spread this gospel because those who don't hear it, and accept it, will perish. Otherwise, the Great Commission, and the whole New Testament for that matter, is just waste of words.

I believe I'm with you. God is God.

From Romans 9:
14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all!
15 For he says to Moses,
"I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."
16 It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.

God will do whatever He wants to do. It's not up to us to decide.
