He does. There is no way W wasn't ready for this. More than likely he had a list put together in his first term.

whats wrong with Gonzalez? Is he not pro-life? Nor does he support the 2nd Amendment.
To: Echo Talon
Please, read again my last post here. I wrote "moderately" to mean the contrary... Bye, my friend.
To: cll
I hope he doesn't try to O'Con-Us with another Judge Souter.
Con me once, shame on me...
Con me twice...

Congress will go into Summer recess soon and any nominee will be sitting out there like a pinata for months before the hearings and voting begin An outstanding turn of phrase.

"how can you be moderately pro-life?"
It's kinda like being "halfway pregnant."
Or halfway aborted.

" Oh you'll see plenty and it will be from the same people who say everything President Bush does is the "last straw" for them"
I wonder if there will be more last straw posts, or more posts rationalizing why it's ok to appoint another Souter?

The weak chain in this link is the 3-5 squishy so called moderate senators. There are more than 3-5 RINO's.
They'll all be pressured by the left and by us on the right like they've never been pressured before. Expect senatorial crying, "Maverick" maneuvers, Freeper comments about the lack of leadership body parts and plenty of network time from the likes of kiss-ass Chuck Hagel.
That said, I bet we get at lease one RINO, Specter on our side.
To: r9etb
Remember that initial hearings won't begin until a month to six weeks after President Bush nominates a successor. So, we have a new problem: Stectorrector.
To: warsaw44
No doubt he has a choice in mind. But, he probably wants to over over any latest rulings from this person to confirm he believes they will not go Souter on us.

So, it's the typical "Sandra Day O'Conner is a great American, we thank her for her wonderful service" type speech. Being that O'Conner casted many anti-American votes, if Bush says that, it will be just another in a VERY long list of kiss-ass lies.

is Rush live today, or does he have a guest host..? If he's on today it will break his streak of being absent during breaking major national news events.

Picture, please.
And YES. Ann for the Supremes. That should give us a good 30-40 years of stewardship.

I'm glad to see O'Connor go... I liked her dissent in the Kelo case, though. I wish one of the 5 who ruled in favor of New London was the one to step down.

whats wrong with Gonzalez? Is he not pro-life? Pro-life is decidely a conservative view point. I'm pro-life and want a justice that is pro-life; however, there are more important erosions of our constitution that should be addressed first, ie direct attacks on the first, second, and fifth amendments.
Gonzales may be pro-life, but he is soft on the second amendment.
