A senator? Aren't they kinda shaky? We don't want to remove a conservative sitting senator...we need all we can get right where they are.
I have the utmost confidence in the voters of the Great State of Alabama to send another fine Senator to Washington to replace Jeff Sessions. That would not be the case if, for example, Rick Santorum was nominated. I would trust neither the voters nor the Governor of that state.
Oddly enough, weren't all (or at least most of) the names Harry Reid suggested as reasonably acceptable to Dems sitting senators? (He must agree with you!)
