Steve Largent is now a lobbyist, I read recently. Has he ended his political aspirations? His defeat was the biggest surprise of all the 2002 elections in my book -- took things for granted, as they say.
I never hear his name mentioned here in local politics. Most think he made a huge mistake in not responding to attacks -- just laid back and then he only lost by less than 5,000 votes and Richardson, the Indy now Republican again, took 100,000 votes with his "free" everything stance.
Don't think Brad Henry, the RAT Governor, had a very good night last night when he heard that Mary was running for reelection.
