Sounds like Pelosi is taking flip-flop lessons from John Kerry (the guy who went to Viet Nam)

Nancy Pelosi is a socialist. She believes you have a privilege to keep your property - as long as the government allows. And her views on the courts is that as long as they rule the way liberals want, they're sacrosanct. Her unctousness is enough to make one gag. This is not why the colonists shed blood, fortunes and their sacred honor to secure the independence of our country!

Pelosi:

How did she get elected?
Why did she get elected?

One thing for sure: You can count on her to add humor(clueless) to a Dem news conference.

Why is it incredible? She has to be opposed to anything a Republican says.

Todays Democrat party has NO ideas. Their only principle appears to be 100% in opposition to anything Republicans say or do.

I have yet to hear or read this.

The Kelo decision by the US Supreme Court is consistent with leftist political theory and practice. Isn't communism and socialism about redistribution? Isn't it the role of government to take from A and give to B by force?

The only difference in this situation is that the taking is to benefit the so-called wealthy or powerful.

Don't be fooled by leftists giving protest lip service; they are actually pleased with the decision as case precedent to future redistribution causes. "If we can take to benefit the rich why can't taking be for the benefit of the children"?

You will be hearing that in the future

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, said she "would oppose any legislation that says that we would withhold funds for the enforcement of any decision of the Supreme Court, no matter how opposed I am to that decision." She then added: "And I'm not saying that I'm opposed to this decision."

Nancy Pelosi, one of the leaders of the Democrat party, agrees with the seizure of land for private interests.

It makes sense, though: Communists have always stolen what they want.

Please, please, please, let Nancy Pelosi lead the defense of this insane ruling....

I won't be satisfied till we have 300 seats in the House and 70 in the Senate. If Nancy gets us there, more power to her....

Is it no wonder that San Francisco is one of the few cities in the country that is experiencing a population decline.

No surprise.

Actually, I'd have thought the crapweasel dems who be jumping up and down in delight over this decision. It is just what the neocommunist socialists have always wanted, the ability for government to redistribute wealth to those who truly deserve it.

The government authority can already seize those three million dollar house that sit on a toral of six acres, and build a new jail. Now, they can seize the land and turn it over to five black guys to build a golf driving range/ The dems should love this stuff. Look at the incentive it give them to regain power. They always been for the abolition of private property, well, other peoples' private property. Some of the old socialists must be delighted. Beware of the words of any dem on this subject!!!

Arguing that Congress has no business interfering with the ruling unless it wants to amend the Constitution

Why bother, the constitutions says "for public use" and 5 justices could give a rats a$$.

I am confused, is she actually picking a side on this. This would be funny if it were not so sad. What kind of idiot would vote for an idiot like pelosi. This is the democrat leader? Unbelievable.

It doesn't surprise me to see minority "leaders" like Maxine Waters on the anti-New London bandwagon.

I'm sure that this decision strikes a chord with minorities who can remember a time in the South when racist state governments screwed around with their right to become property owners, as well as voters, etc.

If Pelosi does not play this right this is just one more issue (gay marriage, vouchers, faith based initatives, abortion, etc.) where she will find herself on the opposite side of the fence from the minorities she claims to support.

Someone also needs to ask Pelosi if God was speaking when SCOTUS handed down their decision in Bush v. Gore. Or How about the Dale case involving gay adult leaders in the Boy Scouts?
