(SACRAMENTO) – The men and women of the U.S. military serving in Iraq are going to have their voices heard – direct and unfiltered – thanks to the “Voices of Solders” Truth Tour being organized by Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org) in conjunction with the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).
“Move America Forward’s charter is to support our troops,” Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson (Ret.) and host of The Buzz Cut of the RighTalk Radio Network said. “It’s time our guys had their say, and we’re going over to Iraq to give our troops a chance to tell the world about all the hard work their doing, and the successes they’re having.”
The tour begins at CENTCOM headquarters in Tampa, Florida, where Move America Forward will host a “Thank You BBQ” for the men and women stationed at CENTCOM headquarters, to thank these honorable individuals for their heroic service to our nation.
From there CENTCOM will lead the Move America Forward/talk radio host delegation to Kuwait and then on to Camp Victory in Baghdad, Iraq (near the Baghdad airport).
Participants will sleep in army tents at Camp Victory. They have been instructed to bring their own sleeping bags or obtain a general issue sleeping bag at the base.
“This isn’t a vacation to a tourist trap – this is the real deal. We’re going straight to the war zone in Iraq where our men and women of the Armed Forces are fighting for the cause of freedom each day, and we’re going to hand them the microphone and let them tell the American people what’s really happening,” said Melanie Morgan, Co-Chair of Move America Forward.
Morgan is co-host of the red-hot “Lee Rodgers & Melanie Morgan” show on KSFO 560 AM in San Francisco. It is one of the most popular local radio programs in the nation.
“Our troops risk their lives every day so that we may enjoy liberty and peace. Yet, it seems that it makes a better news story to report only on the difficulties and challenges our troops face. It’s time we provide an outlet for our brave troops to tell us about some of their accomplishments and the good news coming out of their valiant efforts in Iraq,” said Howard Kaloogian, Move America Forward’s other Co-Chair.
Kaloogian served from 1994-2000 as a Republican state legislator (R-CA).
“I’ve been in touch with the men and women serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. They are universally proud of their service and committed to the fight against terrorism in Iraq & Afghanistan because they know it is better to fight the terrorists on their shores, rather than here in America,” Kaloogian said.
Also traveling with the talk show hosts to Tampa will be family members of the victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks including Debra Burlingame (the sister of Charles F. "Chic" Burlingame III, the pilot of American Airlines Flight 77, which was crashed into the Pentagon); and Marc Flagg (whose parents were killed aboard American Airlines Flight 77).
“The heroic men and women of our Armed Forces are risking their lives so that America will never have to again face an attack like that of September 11th. The family members who lost loved ones on that fateful day are coming with us to personally thank the troops who are keeping our nation safe,” Morgan said.
In addition to live shows broadcast by the radio talk show hosts in attendance, we will also be providing special reports and segments to Sean Hannity’s nationally syndicated show, Dennis Prager’s nationally syndicated show and many others.
A partial listing of the hosts currently confirmed to travel to Iraq include: Melanie Morgan (KSFO 560 AM - San Francisco, CA); Michael Graham (WMAL 630 AM – Washington, D.C.); Mark Williams (KFBK 1530 AM – Sacramento, CA); Martha Zoller (WDUN 550 AM – Atlanta/Gaineville, GA); Lt. Col (Ret.) Buzz Patterson (National – RighTalk Radio Network); Brad Maaske (providing live reports to the Ray Appleton Show on KMJ 580 AM – Fresno, CA).

What time will they be airing their shows?
This can move beyond CONSERVATIVE talk radio... I think the Air America hosts should go report live from the heart of the insurgency and see how much the Islamofacists appreciate their liberal sensitivities while they behead them.
We'll be posting the schedules of the live broadcasts and also when the call-ins to other shows (like Sean Hannity, Laura Ingram, John Batchelor, etc...) will take place!

I'm sure their ethnicity will not be a problem for the Jihadists, at least not 'til they place orange jumpsuits on them and cut their heads off :-)
