It's a lot easier to do this than to follow Jesus' mandates.

So true.....and people say Christianity is a crutch! In total, it is the more difficult way.....hence, we are told to count the cost.

My New England Puritan ancestors are turning over in their grave. They held out for the pure Calvinist Trinitarian doctrine when the Unitarians broke off, and now look at the Congregationalists! Mainstream Protestantism is simply pointless now that they have abandoned Christianity for left-wing political correctness.

Nowhere. It's been two years now...but what's between the Fundies and the United Church of Communism?

Ha! Love that. I know exactly what you feel. Actually, the only option that I thought made sense was the Presbyterians but they have their split too.

If its any help I left the Episcopal Church, my wife left the Catholic Church and we are both born again Baptist Bible thumpers now. It was a tough journey to find a church that actually reads from the Bible and believes it.

Actually, I was aware that some congregations remained conservative but even those, I don't know, did you read this?
"We are solidly committed to the basic doctrines of the Christian faith, but we allow for diversity in those areas where Christians have tended to disagree. Its members hold strong convictions, but do not believe that Christians should divide over secondary issues."
See, that covers a whole lot of ground. I just find it ironic that the church that was founded by the Puritans has become so liberal and full of apostasy. By the way, if you happen to drive by one of these churches, make sure you look up at the steeple because another trend that I am seeing here is that there is no cross anymore. There is either nothing or maybe a weathervane.

I can't even believe that the churches consider blessing homosexuality. I have a young family and plan to teach my kids that homolife is wrong and dead set against God's wishes. With that being so clear, even the church discussing the possibility of blessing homolife is perplexing. Christian church life is on the verge of becomming a joke. I have to keep running from church to church to avoid this crap discussion. Someday I'll probably just end up having to become a minister, and have church in my house for just my family, so I wont have to worry about gay people showing up.
In addition, no wonder Islam is spreading so fast.

See, that covers a whole lot of ground. I just find it ironic that the church that was founded by the Puritans has become so liberal and full of apostasy I think that there is a reason for it. Reformed (Calvinist)Church advanced the Reformation further than Lutheranism toward rationalism and individualism. So the Puritan elite became Unitarian at the beginning of XIX century and the rest of Puritans followed similar path in XX century.
The medicine is the return to the early Church - start with reading Fathers of the Church of the first eight centuries.

If you are down South, try the Southern Baptist.... no marriages for gays there!!
Or the Eastern Orthodox ... they have married priests( although they have Bishops who are monks). That Church will not sanction gay unions or marriages. Also, they have not had any major scandals involving their clergy.
The Church of Christ is pretty conservative. Don't think they will follow the gays into the preverted ways.
So, you do have options.

As churches consider their positions on same-sex marriage......
You know, if church's would just open up the Bible and actually READ it & then follow what God's Word says, the position would be clear..

...the United Church of Christ (UCC) will debate three marriage resolutions - one backing "full marriage equality" for same-sex couples, one defining marriage as between a man and a woman, and a third proposing further study of the issue. No one is predicting the outcome...No one? We're talking the UCC here, this prediction is a no brainer.
