Brian Williams of NBC news just compared the new Iranian President to the Founding Fathers
NBC Nightly News ^ | 6/30/05 | Self

Anyone else just see the NBC report on the possibility that the new Iranian President may have been one of the kidnappers in the 1979 hostage crisis?

Brian Willaims and Andrea Mitchell bantering back and forth with Williams stating: "After all, some certianly regarded the founding fathers as terrorists, and the student uprising was well supported all across Iran." Or words extremely similar to that.

Maddest I've been yet on this issue, even if this isn't the guy, Williams and Mitchell's comments were way over the line, even by what we are used to out of the MSM

Founders of the modern terrorism movement perhaps.

It must be awfully frightening to live inside their heads where terrorists are considered comparable to our Founding Fathers.

Let's get something straight Mr. Williams. The difference between our Founding Fathers being called terrorists, and the Iranian "President" being labeled a terrorist, is that one is meant to discredit people fighting for Liberties given by our Creator and the other can actually be backed up with vicious accounts of terrorism.

I honestly do not even know if Mr. Williams meant this to lift the terrorist "president's" credibility, or to tear down our Founding fathers. I suspect both.

Really, I wouldn't mind being mistaken here. Would like to see a transcript or playback to make sure they aren't that crazy.

Very nicely put.

If you put a suit and tie on a mass of shiite, it's still a mass of shiite.

"After all, some certianly regarded the founding fathers as terrorists, and the student uprising was well supported all across Iran."

This moronic, liberal ape doesn't quite understand that political terrorism was an invention of the Marxist Left and that it had nothing to do with the Founders - or the founding - of America.

"Brain" Williams has been listening to Ohio's Marcy Kaptur. She made a similar brilliant statement alittle while back.

How in the ________ can he compare the Iranian, Islamofascist, hardliner to George Washington,Thomas Jefferson, et al?

Nevermind.

What? You don't remember reading about the British hostage crisis of 1777? The mass beheadings in Concord in 1778?

"Stating they had plenty in common as both were "Revolutionaries"."

Oh, yes. The liberal dunce obviously thinks that "revolution" is all the same, whether of the Enlightenment variety or the Stalinist/Marxist variety.

Brian Williams, you're a dumbass.

Please remind me where in history our founding fathers took over a foreign embassy and held its members hostage for over 400 days.

Another idiot who is about to claim he didn't say what we plainly heard?

Guilt by association is the weapon of a weak mind; that's bad enough... now keep trying to dig your way out.

Brian Williams and Andrea Mitchell are journalists in the way Josef Goebbels and Benito Mussolini were journalists. Fair is fair.

Ok, I didn't read the Terrorist part, but then again, no one watches Brian Williams.

So far all of our touchie-feelies are forgetting LTC William F. BUckley who was tortured to death by these patriotic student revolutionaries.

Anyone else who might have caught this, please chime in here. There was another comment or two that was being said while I stormed out of the room to post here.
