MUNSTER | Leaders in the Lake County Democratic Party are turning to God to help them solve the problems of Northwest Indiana.

Lake County Democratic Chairman Rudy Clay, joined by Sheriff Rogelio "Roy" Dominguez and Lake County Prosecutor Bernard Carter, visited the Family Christian Center and asked more than 1,000 people at Wednesday night's service to pray for them. They said they want the guidance of prayer to help them make the right decisions for the county and reunite the Democratic Party.

The Rev. Steve Munsey said Dominguez was the first to approach him about coming to the church.

"I said, 'Sheriff, I can't endorse the Democratic Party, but I can pray for you,'" Munsey told the congregation.

Munsey said he was doubtful the three men would really come to the church.

"This is a very humbling thing for you to do," Munsey told them.

Dominguez said someone asked him if he wanted to be like a Republican because he was going to the Family Christian Center.

"I said, 'Why is it that you believe that we as Democrats don't worship God? Why can't it be that both parties worship God?'" Dominguez said.

Dominguez said the region's Democratic community has had some difficulties, and its leaders want to bring the party back to its glory days of helping people. He told the congregation he hasn't held a fund-raiser since he took office because he doesn't want people associating his office with a quest for money.

"Tonight we're not asking for money. What we want is prayer; we want your support," Dominguez told the crowd.

Clay also took time to set the congregation straight on his beliefs. He told them not all Democrats believe in same-sex marriage, an issue that many Republicans oppose.

"I don't believe a man should marry a man or a woman should marry a woman," Clay said. "I believe in Adam and Eve."

Why is it that you believe that we as Democrats don't worship God?

Ummm, maybe because you all do everything in your power to debase Him?

Why can't it be that both parties worship God?

It can be - as soon as one party abandons its obssession with promoting sodomy and murdering innocent unborn children.

Yep, it would take about a gigbyte of html for me to list all the ways that the Rats and their fellow travelers have gone out of their way to tear down religion, and Christianity in particular.

I guess now it will be politically correct for politicians to speak in white churches.

Thought this article was gonna be about a twelve-step recovery program for Democrats.

How about the Dems disavowing the work of the ACLU and People for the American Way, and Americans WEnited for Separation of Church and State. When the Dems start active opposing these groups that want to limit the rights of Christians, then I will start to consider that they really want to be at peace with Christians. Until then, quite frankly, the Dem party is my enemy because they consider me to be, and treat my as, their enemy.

While Americans can't celebrate the faith that founded this country - thanks to liberals and activist judges - we're seeing Americans helping terrorists celebrate the very religion whose zealots are bent on destroying every American and America itself.

DEM's need to step away from the morality-destroying social programs, immoral key players like Durbin, Kennedy, Clintons, et al, and the pro-abortion litmus-tests.

We need to pray for them to come to their senses, and return this country to the concept that government is not at the top of the pyramid, but a higher authority gave us freedom, and government should never interfere with freedom.

"He told them not all Democrats believe in same-sex marriage...."

I predict Dem. Chair Clay will not hold on to his position past 6 months.

Sure, I'll pray for them....to continue to LOSE!

Just kidding! Of course there are democrats who have Christian beliefs, but their actions don't support that.

LOL, you may be right. The past party chairmen have relocated to the crowbar motel, along with the 'Rats who ran East Chicago for the last 40 years.

There are Democrat Christians, but I believe those that are don't have a clue what is going on in the political world. Although the Republicans could go the same way at one point, right now the Democrats are anti-Christian.

I'm already suspicious of folks who see God as a last resort to achieve their own ends. Something tells me He doesn't appreciate being an afterthought....nor is He big on acting the rubber-stamp.

Given the fact that the Democrat leadership is driving same-sex marriage at Warp-10, why would he support them???

John 6:65
And He said, "Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father."

John 6:66
From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.

John 6:67
Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?"

John 6:68
But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
(NKJV)

NO PRAYERS FOR THE RATS FROM THIS CALVINIST!

I'LL MEET GOD AND SO WILL THEY!
