My green arrow to turn back to the list of news threads knows no retreat. It won't turn back. If you can figure out what I mean...please help.

Check to see if you have two browsers open,How would I find that out? Which browser. At the very very top, on a blue screen, it says, Mozilla Firefox.

OK...check your Shift and Caps Lock Keys. Shift-click opens a link in a new window, which is what it sounds like is happening.

My arrow is green.
I have blue eyes so I would recognize blue right away.

It looks to me like your preferences have been changed. Somewhere in your menu choices you should be able to select open pages in new browser window, or same browser window. You prefer same browser window, right? Try to find that menu choice, and toggle it on and off as needed.

If you have blue eyes, you might actually have a yellow arrow, and it would appear green. To somebody with brown eyes, it would appear baby-poop colored.

Check to see if your Ctrl key is sticking, thus creating new tabs for each link clicked. It's not sticking. I checked, no food particles between the keys.

Each of those rectangles on your lower task bar represents a separate browser window (or other programs you may have running.)

Check this in your My Preferences.
Windows
Most browsers are capable of creating new browser windows. You may elect to allow the forum to create new browser windows when clicking marked links. Links which are programmed to open in another browser window will be marked with a ^.
Self Links will not be opened in new browser windows. Blank Marked links will be opened in a new browser window.
Slave Marked links will be opened in a single "slave" browser window. This allows one to leave open a list of articles in the master window, while reading the articles in a slave window.

when you finish reading an article, click on the x in the right upper corner of your computer screen (next to the minimize and maximize boxes) and that closes the page and takes you back to the list of threadsThat's okay if I want to get out of a thread. Sometimes I'm talking on more than on thread at a time. With the problem I'm having now...I can't carry on more than one conversation at a time.

I'm amazed at the number people who claim they don't have one. "Well Rosita, I had two of them, so I loaned one to Juan."
"Rosita, Why are you calling me a fool for loaning the best one to Juan?"

I have a broken green arrow I'm no longer using. I had it for sale, but I haven't had a response yet from the potential buyer.

Are you talking abou the little green arrow in upper left hand corner, right under the "File" word? If so, you must be using Firefox as a browser and that is the "Back" arrow.
