Now you've got me worried about that little project with the graphic. lol Your graphic looks fine, it summed things up well. Good idea!

I just meant that I could have worked on it a little bit more and made it look better. Maybe placed the dims differently or something. :)

BTW...where is the tool that makes the colored edge in PE?

I don't think there is one. :( The only way I know how to do the colored, plain edge in PE is to make a new blank file 10 pixels wider and taller (you could do more - I like that width of border around them) than your graphic - you can color-fill that blank file when you make it, and then you just drag your picture back up to the colored file - you'll have to center it. I wee bit more trouble than PD, but maybe not more trouble than going down to the basement to your old pc. :)

Now that's being creative, have tried everything but that. Did get more familiar with the features in PE.

Thanks, I'll try it tomorrow. G'Night!

just got in a short time ago. wont get my last addition for tomorrow's thread until late tonight or tomorrow AM...tis okay - think all is in place (knock on wood, cross fingers & say mega prayers....not necessarily in THAT order!).

This was a lovely thread dutchess. The mysterious disappearing pix did show for me initially. I am the last one to offer any (good, correct) advice.

Wont post the weekend thread until just before I leave for VBS, which will be about 10:30. Thanks to the sistahs for guidance on the "hot link" question. Have not corrected but that will be fairly minor, in the scheme of things.

Pleasantly cooler here but MUGGY.. more rain blessed our area. The farmers should be in good shape.

Need to find food for mom & myself.. Oliver & I found a new wetlands area to explore on the way home from my aunts... left when it was already very black/dark outside. My white shorts, socks & tennies are not so pristine at this point!!! Bogs, marshes etc make big messes...not to mention the smell, appearance of the Van!

Mr.Excuse( I think you are a Mr).... great pix again. I am looking forward to the ones you will chose for the weekend 4th july thread. I hope many people will contribute favorite pix from past 4th holidays.. picnics, parades, fireworks..

So sorry I didn't get back here until now. Had to take the puppy in for his shots today and he had a very bad reaction so I had to rush him back to the vet for an injection of pepcid (?) to settle his stomach. The poor little guy cried terribly during both injections and the worming. I could have cried. Then, when I got him home and found he was so sick, I was furious. Here I take a perfectly healthy puppy to the vet and he hurts him and makes him sick. Of course, I know he has to have the vaccinations and occasionally puppies have bad reactions, but it still really upset me. :-(

He is doing better now. Even ate a bit of dinner and is outside playing with JK. I sure hope Chachi doesn't have to go through this with each vaccination. :-(

I'm exhausted just from being stressed out. Time to put him down to bed and run out and get some dinner. HUGS to all.

He certainly is! We just can't keep our hands off of him, he is such a sweet, cute, funny little guy. Yes, I am sure that Bear is very happy to see us so happy. In fact, we think that Bear sent him to us. :-)

Our vet, who is really a wonderful doctor (even though it did upset me that he made Chach cry), says that we couldn't have chosen a better little dog to fill the empty place in our hearts. He says he is "perfect", and I honestly think that he has never seen a cuter puppy (but I am sure he says that to everyone). LOL :-)

Jackie appreciates the cyber eggs. Chachi hasn't tasted eggs yet. His diet consists of lamb with rice and rice with lamb. LOL

Joy—Even In Poverty

Read:
Habakkuk 3:14-19

Though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; . . . yet I will rejoice in the Lord. —Habakkuk 3:17-18

Bible In One Year: 2 Kings 15-17

cover In the book 450 Stories for Life, Gust Anderson tells about visiting a church in a farming community of eastern Alberta, Canada, where there had been 8 years of drought. The farmers' economic situation looked hopeless. But in spite of their poverty, many of them continued to meet together to worship and praise God.

Anderson was especially impressed by the testimony of a farmer who stood up and quoted Habakkuk 3:17-18. With deep feeling, he said, "Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation." Anderson thought, That dear saint has found the secret of real joy!

It's not wrong to find pleasure in the good things money can buy, but we should never rely on them for happiness. If our fulfillment depends on material possessions, we are crushed when we lose them. But if our joy is found in the Lord, nothing can disrupt it, not even economic distress.

Yes, those who know and trust the Lord can rejoice—even in poverty! —Richard De Haan

Pleasures of earth, so seemingly sweet,
Fail at the last my longings to meet:
Only in Thee my bliss is complete;
Only, blest Lord, in Thee. —Anon.

Happiness depends on happenings; joy depends on Jesus!
