A Republican congressman from North Carolina told CNN on Wednesday that the "evidence is clear" that Iraq was involved in the terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001.
"Saddam Hussein and people like him were very much involved in 9/11," Rep. Robin Hayes said.
Told no investigation had ever found evidence to link Saddam and 9/11, Hayes responded, "I'm sorry, but you must have looked in the wrong places."
Hayes, the vice chairman of the House subcommittee on terrorism, said legislators have access to evidence others do not.

President Bush said in September 2003 that "We've had no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the September 11 [attacks]."
Nevertheless, Hayes insisted that the connection between al Qaeda and Saddam and "folks who work for him" has been seen "time and time again."
"Nobody disputes 9/11," Hayes said. "They would do it again if not prevented."

Wow! Very nice collection of links.
What was Saddam involved with, according to Bob Graham?
The time article did not say, but those were his quotes on page 43 of that issue.
Of course when he was running for President and claiming that the current US President lied to go to war, NO media asked him.
After all, there job under Clinton was to back up his every move, under Bush their job is to slander and defame him.
Wouldn't be the first time...he lobbied Clinton for resumption of relations with Vietnam so Anheuser-Busch could build breweries there. FYI...Cindy, McCain's wife is the daughter of James Hensley, who is the second largest Anheuser-Busch distributor in the United States. And let's not forget the Keating 5 debacle.

Thank you!
I'll add that to my list of links.
It's not like there's very much inside.
Great Caesar's Ghost!!! That's one helluva list! Thanks.
Okay, I'm convinced. But you won't convince the airheads who blithely assert that there was no connection between Osama and Saddam - and are never challenged. Some of these are the same airheads who asserted before the Iraq war that Saddam and Osama really hated each other - without offering any evidence.
No proof? There's plenty of proof of a relationship between Saddam's government and Al Qaeda. Is your statement prompted by your desire to believe that there is no proof?
"My new hobby is watching Democrats' heads explode.
It is entertaining, but don't get too close. I know what the RATS brains are made of, and you don't want to get any of that on you."
LOL! It's probably much worse than stepping barefoot into a pile of doggy doo doo.
Bump
Why am I getting the feeling that there is a huge coverup to save the Clinton legacy going on ?
My DIMocrat friends have a proof standard that Jesus Christ could not meet if he were a republican.
You want a direct causal link, like say a video of Saddam shaking the hands of the hijackers as the left Iraq.
For the zillionth time, it was never claimed by Bush that we deposed him for that reason. It is a Dumocrat urban legend.
FACT: Taking him out is putting a serious crimp in middle eastern sponsored terrisom. Money talks, bullcrap walks.
btttt
Once again I must take pause to say, thank God for the Internet! No longer can the libs simply chose to forget their past deeds and comments. Rock on FReepers.
Sorry, I was being a butthead.
