Fox News says CNN is in a "ratings freefall" under Jon Klein, or as some Fox staffers know him, Jon De-Cline. Quoting the press release: "CNN again suffered double-digit losses under the leadership of Jon Klein with the debut of Your World Today, averaging just 276,000 viewers, down 43% vs. the same time period in '04. Other June losers under Klein's direction included: NewsNight with Aaron Brown with 623,000 viewers (down 21%); Lou Dobbs Tonight with 458,000 viewers (down 15%); and Paula Zahn Now with 562,000 viewers (down 3%) vs. 2004. Klein commemorates his seven-month anniversary as president of CNN with the fourth lowest month since he joined the network last November."

hehehe. Your World Today for those who aren't aware is CNN international's show at 12 noon that is also shown on regular CNN. Apparently, this was meant to broaden our view of the world but I guess people don't feel that way.
Also, I love this trash talking by Fox. They have the ratings to back it up.

276,000 viewers - that's getting into MSDNC territory.

Hey treat him like any other exec. He's lost millions for CNN, give him a Billion dollar bonus,.....and fire him.

Probably an unhealthy morbid joy on my part. It's like watching a car crash only CNN doesn't even know it.

I caught a few minutes of Bob Costas subbing for Larry King last night. He was just awful. Costas made Katie Couric look like a conservative.
It never ceases to amaze me that CNN and MSNBC look at FNC's ratings and come away with "I guess we need to hire MORE liberal commentators". Costas really came across as unprepared and lightweight.
FYI: I switched off of FNC to see CNN because FNC had Wesley Clark on as analyst. Every time FNC puts Clarks face on the tv I will switch channels, even to CNN.

I switched off Fox when Clark came on as well. I ain't gonna watch that a-hole tear apart Bush.
Apparently Hume asked him some pretty tough quesitons though....

I gave up on CNN years ago; quit Fox last year when they refused to give me just the news encapsulated-- they gave me car chases and endless speculation on what they thought was going to happen or what could happen.
No one does news any more!

I was watching CNN and Fox in the gym one afternoon. CNN was doing their usual anti-Bush nonsense that was dull as a carrot and Fox was doing their usual litany of celebrity and "hot" news items involving kidnappings and chases. Everyone was watching Fox. Fox reports what people want to hear. CNN reports whan they want people to think.

It began as Chicken Noodle Network, then became Clinton News Network, Communist News Network, and now it's just plain Al Jazeera II.

Woo-hoo!!
CNN, just like the dinosaur networks, still don't get it: they love to be leftists, and thus they love to lose viewers. :)
