Today I had a prayer answered that I would like to give thanks for. This may or may not be a little out of place since usually we talk of members and family or friends of members when we post our prayer threads.
I am 100% disabled with PTSD and have quite a few anti-social tendencies. As a result of this, I live by myself with my two dogs and a few cats way off in the woods. My drive way is about 4000 feet long and I am on the back side of about 32 acres. I believe that one of the greatest things God every did is to make the dog as a companion for man. I have two dogs, Molly and Gigi who are also unseperable themselves. Molly is a cross between a Husky and a Lab and Gigi a cross between an Aussie Sheppard and Border Collie. They ride with me, sleep in the house and always meet me when I come home.
Yesterday, Mollie and Gigi vanished. When I came home from mowing some pastures, both were gone. I looked everywhere for them and got a report they were seen on a road about two miles from the house at night. I looked half of the night and drove around the area for several hours today looking for them and asking neighbors if they had seen them. And I prayed, maybe you shouldn't pray for a dog but they are one of God's creatures. I was pretty much ready to write them off because they had never left the house very far before.
However, when I came back to the house before heading to the VA for my many check ups, Molly and Gigi were there to greet me. They were both exceptionally excited because they had apparently gotten lost and one of the neighbors saw them in a field a few miles from my house. Molly was so exhausted she could barely move. My neigbors brought them back to the house for me and I got a lot of wet doggy kisses. It really made my day. I had been going through a feeling of lost equal to the death of a family member.
Once again, I just want share my happiness and to give thanks for a prayer being answered.
Great post.
Glory to God!
Thanks for your sacrifice and your service, sir.
Glad to hear it. God knows just what you need, and it's okay to pray for that. =)
glad to hear they are back. when our dog goes, i'll have to put the master down.
I'm so glad they came home, my friend.
Bless you :)
our Lord is always there for us.
Tomorrow we have Adoration and I will remember you in my prayers.
I'm so happy that your beloved pets have returned to your home. Any dog lover can appreciate the pain you were going through, and I believe that God answered your prayers.
Great post...thank you for your service and praise the Lord for answering your prayer.
when my cat would disappear for days, I would post signs all
over the neighborhood; within hours, the cat would wander back. He could read.
I rejoice with you...Thank God they are home.

God Bless you! And thank you for your service!
So do I. God bless you and your pooches.
Hi U S Army EOD
Your story was very heart warming. I know what you must have been feeling thinking your dogs were lost, as I have a little White Westhighland Terrier (Westie) named Wesley! I can only imagine what it would be like to think I lost him. He's our little boy, one of the family and he brings us so many laughs and happiness. By the sound of your post they are your sole companions and yes, your family. I am so glad they came back to you and I am sure your prayers were answered. Thank you for sharing your story; you made my night!
Good story--great ending. Enjoy your special time with your
dear animal friends. They give so much, and ask so little in
return.
Love it!
And a very special thank you from me to you. You are a hero. I just wish it hadn't taken so many years for you to hear about it.
I'm happy for you and I understand your feeling about dogs. I too feel they are a gift from God for those that need that sweet friend. They have only innocence, love and loyalty - no judgement, no hate.
I hope you someday can let others into your life but I am glad you have your friends back.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your kindness in having these dogs returned safely!
