This excerpt, from MSNBC, doesn't get anywhere near the meat of the book - where Fuhrman shows how Michael's inconstent statements, and the timeline of the morning that Terri collapsed, raise a lot of questions - and suspicions. Read the book.

Fuhrman was branded a racist by the MSM for using the word "nigger" while discussing the dialogue for a screenplay. In all honesty, he could not say he had never said the word.
If I had a dollar for every time I had heard a black person call another black person "nigger", I could buy a couple of third world countries and pick up the tab for moving them up to at least second rate economic powers. It is no surprise that the word might come up in discussing screenplay dialogue.
It was Fuhrman's efforts on his own time which led to overturning the conviction of a black man (wrongfully convicted) and his release from prison.
The man is a very capable investigator who has been maligned by the same forces which malign conservatives, Republicans, gunowners, and even FReepers. Why do you choose to believe them (the MSM) on this?

I think we might be at crossed paths on the Schiavo matter (maybe--I'm not sure), but you summed up the Frey business very well. It's not a matter of extremes that she was making poor (VERY poor) decisions before becoming entangled with Scott Peterson, but we can always hope she gets herself straightened out and it did appear that's what she was doing and she DID do the right thing by calling the police and taping him.

I just started reading it and one thing he has said is he found NO ONE that likes Michael-NO ONE! He has threatened people involved and had some of the nurses fired for siding if you will with Terri and her family.
Because she was told that was what good wives (and considering she was Catholic...) are supposed to want?
And actually, some women think that having kids will make things better.
She probably was very torn between the options of leaving and or staying and trying to make it work. When living with an abuser like Michael I can totally understand how mixed up she might have felt.
When you consider the big three voting blocs in North Dakota are the farm vote, the elderly, and three cities which depend on airbases or pork, he is just posturing for the folks back home.

I agree. Lots of people said lots of things that sounded good, and then didn't act on them because the 'crowd' wasn't with them or their precious career might have suffered. Is that leadership? nah.

Wonder what it is like to be married to someone who would actually walk out to the car and check my odometer to make certain I only drove to designated spots and not further?
Wonder what it would be like to have a friend offer me safe haven, but refuse it because I knew I could pretend to be asleep and avoid confrontation with my husband.
Wonder what it would be like to hold a steady job while my husband averaged three weeks per job longevity over a period of two years and yet be worried about him yelling at me for getting a new hairdo.
Wonder what it would be like to be married to a man who was under psychiatric care, a man who was so prone to violence that his own psychiatrist told the Schindler parents, after an altercation with that monster when he was living WITH THEM during the time he was seeking money in court for Terri's condition, to avoid my husband at all costs when angry because he was capable of GREAT VIOLENCE ( he was on THREE separate psychiatric drugs )

After Terri's collapse, when she was in the intensive care ward at Morton Plant hospital, Michael was shaken, and of course, so was the Schindler family.
Going back to the accident, the emergency techs who answered the call, which we now know came LATE because all evidence points to the fact that the monster did not call them right away, looked around, noted the only prescription medicines were psychiatric drugs issued to Michael on the kitchen counter, CALLED in the police because to them, it looked like physical assault.....abuse....attempted MURDER.
The Schindler's, shaken, without ANY knowledge of Terri talking divorce with her friends, etc., when asked if they thought that monster could be capable of hurting Terri thusly said NO.
While at Morton Plant, that monster told the Schindlers that it would be best if all information and care of Terri went thru him, that he was going to sue Terri's doctors...and that there would be enough money from that lawsuit to take care of Terri for the rest of her life...no matter what was going to happen.
He said he would move in with them, they would fight for the money protection for Terri, which he did and they did, believing all the time, that that monster would build the type of handicapped access home he promised, that Mary (and Bob) could live there and take care of Terri with the monster, that they would have enough to give Terri the best of everything!
All of this came to pass.
Except that four months after getting the money, Michael put a DNR (Do not resusitate order on Terri's door) and STOPPED ALL THERAPY...even the most meager therapy.
He stopped taking her out to malls, stopped taking her ANYWHERE outside, when her wheelchair SOMEHOW BROKE, he even order that she was NOT TO ASSOCIATE outside her room, put an order that NO MEN were allowed in her room, and began full authority on who in the family could visit her. She bounced around from nursing home to nursing home, finally coming to rest in a hospice as the monster decided she was NOT GOING TO DIE and hired an attorney, suddenly remembering that Terri would not want to live in her condition. This attorney, on the BOARD at that time of WOODSIDE HOSPICE, and hospice volunteer himself, and the monster got Terri stuffed into a hospice, where patients are SUPPOSED to be terminally ill and die within six months....doesn't matter...they figured out how to kill a healthy useless eater, anyway.
He badgered nurses who showed kindness to Terri, the nurse who used to soak orange juice in washcloths and let Terri suck in the delightful flavor, could not say enough about the abusiveness of Michael to the staff....

I wonder as well. It is sad that Terri lived this kind of life, and than lived trap for 15 years with a man who kept trying to kill her and eventually did!
Who ya gonna believe? Michael Schiavo and his brother, or NURSES, FAMILY, FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS of TERRI, and the PHOTO evidence of the many pics of Terri in the three years after her accident while MS the monster was going after his 1.2 million dollars, or THE ZERO PHOTOS, NO THERAPY, NO RESUSITATION, NO ANTIBIOTICS, NO SUNSHINE, FULL ORDERS THAT NO ONE COULD VISIT HER WITHOUT THE MONSTER'S PERMISSION, DOCUMENTED, that Terri often had unexplained bruises before her collapse that she refused to discuss (co-worker (affidavit, again AFFIDAVIT, do not know if investigated because MS STOPPED ALL THREE INVESTIGATIONS by the SCHINDLERS by REFUSING ACCESS TO TERRI to the investigators....greer UPHELD MS.)

really, so you think a man making up that his wife would want to be deydrated to death and making sure she was is not abusive?
