Notice how they conveniently overlook the US, where gay marriage is allowed in MA. It's like we don't even exist anymore. Only the rest of the world is relevant.

Canada will be signing its own death warrant. The Liberals want the country to be trendy so its OK to throw the family on the trash heap of history.

Wow! This is news to me. Have homosexuals in Canada been denied the right to marriage? Im missing something here.
As far as I know, everyone has the right to get married and have always had that right.

I know a Canadian in Ontario who has ranted and raved about homosexuality in Canada for years. He can't stand it.
However, when it comes time to vote, he consistently votes liberal because the conservative candidates turn him off or he knows the liberal personally so wants to vote for them.
Canadians have to work themselves out of their mess but I don't know if they have what it takes.

"This is a victory for Canadian values." Agreed. Personally, though, I don't think we should have Canadian values in the US.

Why not? It already recognizes civil unions between Canadians and farm animals...

The legislation, however, states that the bill only covers civil unions, not religious ones, and no clergy would be forced to perform same-sex ceremonies unless they choose to do so.That'll last about as long as it takes for a couple of poofters to have their "marriage" demand refused by some Canadian priest, and then file a lawsuit.

Biological parents usually protect and provide for their children more effectively than non-biological ones. He should have left off this part of his statement -- it weakens his argument. I assume he's pro-life and wants to promote heterosexual adoption -- and comments like this are not the way to do that.

The Conservative party, should immediately walk out when it's time to vote it would make the vote illegitimate.

Canadians will never be able to make changes unless they understand how to vote properly. My aunt is typical.
She is a hard working, religious, anti-abortion, pro-military, pro-big-business, anti-multi-culturalism, pro-Israel, anti-Arab, anti-sex-marriage, anti-Unionist, anti-Tax&Spend, anti-welfare-handouts, pro-Jewish, anti-Hollywood, pro-gun-rights, pro-family-values, anti-socialism, anti-communism, pro-western-culture, pro-Eisenhower/Reagan/Nixon/Bush/Bush, and anti-Kyoto.
Why she votes Liberal every single time in her 80 years on the surface of this planet is absolutely beyond me.

"[Canada is], once again, affirming to the world that we are a country that is open, inclusive and welcoming" The logic set up by using this spokesperson's quote, of course, implies that by extension other countries -- such as, say, the United States -- are not so. What a tangle of disinformation. Thanks, Associated Press.
