But he wasn't fired for being religious, he would never have gotten the job, he was fired for expressing an opinion. Not saying I approve of the firing, but it's not saying "I approve of this religion" or whatever. And my larger point is that I think private employers SHOULD be allowed to hire or fire employees for any reason, not that this is the law.

So, an employer should be able to fire an employee one day before the employee's retirement benefits/401K benefits vesting kicks in?

Why in the world would you hold to such a view?

ANY reason? Such as voting for the "wrong" candidate, or refusing to divulge who you voted for?

So if you freep in your own time, with an anonymous account and somehow it gets around to your boss he should be able to fire you? what about because your black? or male? or straight?
