People with mouths like his don't last long in sports.
I do have some respect for the parties in the hockey dispute. They are actually trying to reach an agreement, something both sides can agree to, not a fake "agreement" like one that a consumer signs when signing a 2 year cell phone "agreement" that's really a "take it or leave it" contract.

I have never been to a professional hockey game {and with this guys attitude I don't think he qualifies}, but did enjoy watching the minor league Hawks in Great Falls Montana.
I wonder which is higher - this guys IQ or the number of his teeth?
I use to go to baseball games too before their last strike. Haven't been back and don't plan too go either.

Hey Jeremy...There is a saying about holes and the one you guys are in is so deep that there may be some heat from an unexpected source.

Does he understand why the NHL has the money troubles?

Woah, J.R...next time you want to put your foot in your mouth, take off the skate, first.
It's remotely possible J.R. can get away with a it's-not-the-money-it's-the-principle-of-the-thing stance, since there's a 50-50 chance he'll retire before the next game.

Wow - too bad JR (Roenick) is such a tool. He was the last great player that the pitiful Blackhawks had.

If I go to ANY games, it will only be to boo this ass.
I'll bet the league just LOVED him going on TV, telling the fans that they're just jealous and to stay home.

We dont need no stinkin' hockey!
As a matter of fact, I'm pretty done with sports in general as professional athletes are becoming just like Hollywood A-holes.

Earth to Jeremy Roenick...an entire hockey season has come and gone....with no fans in the seats...no uproar from the fans that they missed hockey....it seems it could disappear for seasons to come with no problem. Somehow the earth will keep spinning without the NHL.
I think that college level hockey, just like college level basketball is fantastic from a sports fans perspective. No overpaid, over-hyped bubble heads like Roenick and his ilk of spoiled players.

Philadelphia Flyers center Jeremy Roenick has some advice for hockey fans who blame the NHL lockout on players' greed: Once it's finally settled, stay home.
``We're going to try to make it better for everybody, period, end of subject. And if you don't realize that, then don't come,'' said Roenick, who spoke at a charity golf event he played in over the weekend.
``We don't want you at the rink, we don't want you in the stadium, we don't want you to watch hockey,'' he said Saturday at the Mario Lemieux Celebrity Invitational in suburban Pittsburgh. Please do not settle the strike. We don't want hockey to be played professionally. We already have enough gangs and gangsters.

Roenick has a long history of saying stupid things. He played the last season with a broken jaw - I kind of liked that:
Roenick's jaw wired shut, still won't shut up

LOS ANGELES (sPERTS.net) -- It's going to take a lot more than a broken jaw to keep Jeremy Roenick quiet.
Roenick continued to flap his gums just days after undergoing an operation to wire his jaw shut.
"A little metal isn't gonna stop me from giving people a piece of my mind," Roenick mumbled through his teeth. He gave a lengthy statement on behalf of the NHL Players' Association yesterday, outlining the union's position on a potential lockout for next season and beyond.
"Were ready to dig in," Roenick said. "We'll (unintelligible) Europe and then (unintelligible) owners can see how (unintelligible) salary cap."
