I wonder if it was comparable to the "fake" impeachment trial in the bathroom or closet, where ever it was, in the Capitol last week?

Well, I am surprised at the last sentence of the Al Jazeera piece:

The Russell Tribunal received heavy publicity due to the attendance of literary luminaries and Nobel prize winners, but was widely viewed as a BIASED SHOW TRIAL.(Emphasis mine)
