Oriana Falacci's book will be published in the US shortly. It is already # 14 on Amazon. This is a courageous woman. Her freedom of speech, and freedom of the press should be defended by all Americans. Shame on France and Italy for making book burning legal. Savanarola? Hitler? Next, it will be a crime to read a book.

Of course Muslims are allowed and forgiven when they spew the most vile hatred and screeds against anyone else, but the minute anyone suggests that maybe they have some flaws in their doctrine as it relates to the modern world then every law pertaining to hate crimes (none of which begin to exist in the sewers they came from) must be invoked.

Already been published--I've had a copy for two years. Haven't read it cover-to-cover, but have read large portions of it.

She wrote it, then translated it to English herself, and there are a few rough spots, but I enjoyed it greatly. She's a former communist, but she speaks eloquently of the need to defend Western culture, even Christianity (and she's not a Christian, but is sympathetic to it) against the ravages of Islam.

Very thoughtful book, and despite the fact that I'm a capitalist and a Christian, she and I have much we agree upon. She's very intelligent and makes perhaps one of the best cases for the threat Islam represents that I have ever read.

Remember: Italy has a problem with muslims. They're on the front lines. Some of the goings-on in Rome with all the hordes of muslim immigrants will shock the reader.

Get the book. Read it for yourself. Enjoy!

France is also where former actress Brigitte Bardot was fined last year for her "inflammatory" book on Muslims and gays. In her book -- a best-seller in Italy and Spain -- Fallaci characterized Muslims as "vile creatures, who urinate in baptistries" and "multiply like rats."

I'm certainly not aware that Muslims are rapidly reproducing.

Its only been available in Italian for some time. Hopefully an English translation will be forthcoming. Oriana Fallaci's work is a tribute to the Tuscan dialect that Italians call "la lingua Dei." Literally, divine speech. Latin humanists despised it but there's no denying of all the Romance languages that grew out of the old Latin, Italian is the most musical of them all. And here we have the Eurotrash prosecuting Oriana for telling the world the truth about Islamofascism. Shame on Europe for going after an old lady!
