From the article or Rev. Graham's American revival meeting in New York:
"I was just a little boy and I'll never forget it," said Clinton, who was joined by his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. "I've loved him ever since. God bless you, friend."
Graham called the Clintons "wonderful friends" and "a great couple," quipping that the former president should become an evangelist and allow "his wife to run the country."

When some of you read the above, it probably evoked projectile vomiting. I fought it off. The words of Rev. Graham were not welcome to my ears.
I phoned his offices and let the girl who takes messages know how much I have admired him and how disappointed that he made the comment about Hillary. I told her about Juanita Broaddrick and Easter Sunday in 1996 with the intern right after Easter Service. I let her know that it is the Clintons who mock religion.
The girl calmly told me that the reverend made the statement as a joke, it shouldn't be taken out of context, and he is not endorsing Hillary Clinton or the Democratic Party. My suggestion to her was that he should make a public statement and clear the record.
Regarding Broaddrick, she said that she doesn't know if Clinton has asked God for forgiveness. That is between the former president and God. By comment was that he should make a public apology to his victims, and Hillary should make a public apology to his victims, the ones she went after behind the scenes.
Reverend Graham, please clear the record.

I am also Catholic. I can somewhat understand how their perceived view of social justice can allow some Catholics to vote Democratic. On the other side of the argument is partial birth abortion. Any politician who supports such murder of babies should never get the vote of any person calling themselves Catholic.
Same here.
Thank's for that post. It's all (good) news to me.
Billy Graham is Southern Baptist. Bill clinton "claims" to be Southern Baptist. Denominational recognition. Unspoken rule: never speak ill of a fellow Baptist.
Good old Bill Clinton. The High Priest of insincerity.
That is so true!!!!!!!!!!!
But we can counter the ad with....(since BG's comment was a joke)
She's too clueless to be President....
She doesn't know when she is being played with.
LOL!
It's pretty serious when a church refuses entry to someone.
Yes, he could have thanked a former president and current senator for being there. That should have ended it. Rev. Graham has been soiled and used by the Clintons in a very calculating way.
Franklin said he doesn't have the same ministry as his dad. In other words, he won't be doing the tour cycle.
Yep, Curtiss Slewah is talking right now about how the Clintons used Rev. Graham.
If he is Southern Baptist, his doctrine is probably just fine. Also, I'm SB and that's the first time I've heard of that rule.
It's painful to watch FReepers make such fools of themselves over Rev. Graham.
That right there would right a lot of wrong in this country and take care of all the payoffs for the vote.
You must have forgotten how Graham defended Clinton's sexual escapades. It was all the women's faults for chasing him. He was just too good-looking. Not even a hint that he should have resisted temptation.
What about not speaking at all? :)
Morale of story - silence is golden, at times.
Good to have a voice out there.
Thanks Curtiss!
The comparison with Trent Lott and Billy Graham starts and stops with spewing a few words off of the top of their heads. The impact the Dr. Graham's words could have an everlansting efect of some people.
