I have to be honest, that's the only one of her I do not like so much. She looks too skinny, and looks like she has a bad attitude.

But that was taken years ago by a moroooon photographer. Bury that shot!

********

OK, I looked at it again. I'm in love........... game, set, match.

;-)

I think he's referring to the "eyes" in that picture on the right where she is sitting with the athletic bag behind her and she looks like she may be saying, "well, you're late for dinner, what in the world am I going to do with you?"

;-)

That is one fine picture.

Sorry, but Chrissy couldn't swing a racquet with those arms. I believe we have a little PhotoShop going on here.

OK! You are right! That is one exquisite picture.

I do not know if you are a man or a woman......... but you have elegant taste in the beauty of a woman! Those eyes are incredible!

This girl is one of a kind. I pray for her safety, success, and happiness. She could make this world a better place....... as she appreciates the need for a strong family, love, and hard work!

Sharapova to launch perfume
By: WTN
Date: October 20, 2004, 2:15pm

Maria Sharapova is planning to launch her own scent. The 17-year-old Wimbledon champion, who has made no secret of her ambition to design a fashion line one day, will launch her very own scent next year.

"I'm excited because it is so different to what I've done in the past," she told YAHOO.COM. "It's going to be my own design and something I love to smell."

Since her tennis career means she spends very little time in one place, Sharapova admits that this isn't her most hands-on experience, but is convinced that it will turn out just the way she wants it.

"The company that I'm working with, we always keep in touch by e-mail because I travel so much," she goes on. "You tell them the smells you like, if you want it to be sweet, things like that. And then the bottle, the colours, the shape. It's a very interesting process. I haven't had a sniffing test yet, but I will."

I wish I were taller.............. and 35 years younger!

I am taller and younger (Male). I teach tennis on the side. I have had some students like her and Martina Hingis came to a clinic I was working.

No one, I repeat no one has ever come close to Maria... I just met a girl named Maria (I wish).

Sigh!!!!

Yes.

She was a great athlete and could speak and socialize without making an a## of herself.

We should have more athletes like her.

I read about the forthcoming Sisel vs. Sharappova match in Thursday or Friday's WSJ of all places. Kid's only 15! I'd have posted a pic, but she's under age :)

"...but tennis was played FOREVER without all this noise..."

Your right, and the women used to wear dresses down past their knees and men used to wear pants. Like everything else, the sport, and the way it's played is changing. Mostly for the better I think but the sex-like squealing on every single shot does get annoying. Hopefully not all the players pick up this habit and we end up with a Yetti horror movie marathon with every Grand Slam tourney!

It never used to be played with an extended grunt that is used today to disrupt opponents. There is a difference IMO.
