Yup. He was Jack the Ripper in the 23rd Century. (Apparently, Jack was an alien being that moved around, but hadn't actually been killed off.)
He was also Mr. Peterson on "The Bob Newhart Show" and was on episodes of "The Odd Couple".
It hasn't been a good couple of months for voice-over artists. Piglet, Tigger, Tony the Tiger ... (there are probably one or two others that I'm forgetting that passed away recently.)

That show is one of my favorites of all time. Bob certainly did have some characters on his couch, and Mr. Peterson was a good one.
